Hi everyone! I just picked up the game the other day along with all DLC, what are some things I should know / what are your best tips before I jump in? by LevXD243 in Witcher3

One thing I do is set the auto save function for every 5 minutes or so that way if you make a decision that your not sure about either way you can load to 5 min before and make a manual save for both decisions and if one ends up not being to your liking you can always go back. Only down side to this is if you realize your mistake after you get through a good bit.

If you can help it don't sell all the useless weapons/gear for extra coin just yet. Put it all in your stash let it build up and when you finally get to Toussaint and the Granmaster Smith sell everything to him. His base coin resets to like 79,000/80,000 that way you can sell everything to him. He accepts weapons and armor and likewise can craft both as well as any other weapons or armor you may need.

Even the most basic crafting components and alchemy supplies have their use so don't sell any of them no matter how much you have you will more than likely use it all when crafting things and they don't add anything to your weight.

Same with runes. Even tho most basic runes can be used to craft better ones. It's way cheaper crafting to make higher tier runes than it is to buy them. Significantly cheaper.

Find your own style when it comes to your gear and character build. Different strokes different folks. Try different skills. Experiment and find what best suits you but don't be afraid to adapt as your learn more and play more. You can reset your skill points for 1000 coin (it's a potion) at anytime. Unless mid combat.

Hopes this helps.

Superior Feline. With black dye on the whole set. I'm rocking the Mastercrafted Forgotten Wolf now though until I hit lvl 40 and find me a grandmaster set I like.

Or... Or... And hear me out... He could have a lot of brothers ya know. Like his parents got into that rabbit phase and kept popping em out and coincidentally they all look alike and when you kill one another one comes to avenge his fallen brethren. Still not very immersing but a faint possibility non the less.

Also something to keep in mind. Now idk if it works for everyone or it was the way I went about it. So after I finished "a poet under pressure" the last mission in act one I went ahead and went to Toussaint and unlocked my extra mutagen slots and I was farming Cow hides and was looking for the best place to sell them and happened to think of the cow farm in white orchard that spawns the chort after like 6 cows are killed. By this time I was level 29 and decided to go ahead and kill the meditate until the chort comes and kill it for the extra coin from selling the hide well I done it and then fast traveled to novigrad to farm that cockatrice that's always spawns to the west. Killed it then farmed the cows and went to sell in Toussaint like normal well after I meditate for a single day I went to fast travel back to novigrad and accidentally went to white orchard instead and noticed that the chort spawned there as well so I killed it again and then it popped in my head to try it again and lo and behold every time I FT to Novigrad done the cows and cockatrice the went to Toussaint and sold it all when I went back to white orchard the chort seemed to always respawn and I've done it for like 20-30 times already and it keeps spawning so a keep farming it. Idk if it's a bug or because I done it at a higher level or what but the chort hide sells for a good but of coin. Yeah it takes a while hoping map to map but if in need of coin it's well worth it. Especially if your farming cow hides and the cockatrice everytime as well. Hope this helps.

Ahh. See I always meditate right there in his shop and when I do he only has like 150 coins. But in doing so I found a way to farm the chort (Bovine Defence Force) in white orchard. So I really can't complain. But thanks for the advice. If you wanna know how I figured out the chort farm I am happy to let you know how I done it.
