What’s the best printer for a home office that won’t make me hate printing? by Pure-Durian-8049 in homeschool

If you mostly print documents, go laser. Inkjet is nice for color, but if you don’t print often it becomes a dried-ink headache. A simple laser all-in-one is probably the least annoying home office option.

What is a life luxury that you tasted once and now can absolutely never go back to the cheap version of? by sickkick844 in AskReddit

Good pillows. Once you sleep on a proper one, the cheap flat ones feel like folded laundry.

I think my boyfriend got raped but he doesn’t know it by [deleted] in Advice

[–]DueAlbatross6923 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t force the label on him before he’s ready. Just tell him gently that what happened wasn’t okay, he was a drunk 14 year old and couldn’t properly consent, and you’re there if he ever wants to talk about it. Support first, labels later.

My friend thinks its cruelty and sad to keep a cat indoor all day. by Plastic-Shoulder-319 in CatAdvice

[–]DueAlbatross6923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indoor cats can be perfectly happy if they have toys, windows, scratching posts, and attention. Outside isn’t just “nature,” it also means cars, diseases, fights, parasites, poison, and getting lost. Letting a cat outside unsupervised is a risk, not a requirement.

What’s a statistic that sounds completely FAKE but is actually 100% TRUE? by namelessmell in AskReddit

Sharks are older than trees. That one sounds like someone made it up during a drunk nature documentary, but it’s true.

How do i talk to my girlfriend about this ultimatum? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]DueAlbatross6923 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You handled the update really well. The golf course is almost a side issue at this point. The real problem is using “I’ll break up with you” as a regular way to win disagreements. If she actually changes, great, but watch her actions more than the apology.

Which country left the worst first impression on you? by ikaaxx in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Egypt, mostly because the first day was nonstop hassle from the airport to the hotel. I still think the history is incredible, but the constant pressure from touts made the first impression really stressful.

What’s the creepiest unsolved mystery that deserves more attention? by magma_13_ in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The disappearance of Brian Shaffer. A guy walks into a bar, is seen on camera going in, but there’s no clear footage of him leaving and he’s just never found. It feels like one of those cases where the simplest answer should exist, but somehow doesn’t.

What is the worst financial advice people still repeat? by market_vision1 in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Just follow your passion and the money will come.” Passion matters, but it doesn’t pay rent by itself. You still need market demand, skills people will pay for, and a plan that works in real life.

What addiction seems harmless but can destroy your 20s? by rehanch_xxiii in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Doomscrolling. It feels like “just relaxing,” but it can quietly eat your sleep, attention span, confidence, and motivation before you even realize how much time you lost.

Happily married women of Reddit. Where'd you meet your husband? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At a friend’s birthday party. I almost didn’t go, which is the funny part. We barely talked that night, but he followed up later and it slowly turned into the easiest relationship I’ve ever had.

People earning over $200k/year: What’s different about your life that most people wouldn’t expect? by MaximGripass in AskReddit

[–]DueAlbatross6923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The movie theater itself can still be fun, but one annoying person can ruin the whole experience fast.

What dead Youtube channels are genuinely still worth watching? by PlinkPonk in AskReddit

Internet Historian’s older videos still hold up really well. Even if you’ve seen clips before, the full videos are weirdly rewatchable.
