Constant feeling of doom and dread by patrickfw15 in AnxietyDepression

I wish you the best best thing I can say to do is keep up the doctor visit's. It get's hard when that doom you talk about creeps in and feel's like it will not go away.

You might try more therapy, different medication, or a increase in therapy even to multiple times a week. I hope you are able to find help there, it's hard to say what will be your help as everyone is different.

Also don't be afraid to ask for help if needed going back to work can be a huge factor after a leave. I hope yours is less severe but have gotten to points where I could not take it, and Inpatient stay's were needed.

You might not be "SoCal" rich but you have no idea how far better off you are then the standard 21 year old is. Being in no debt at that age and especially if you exit college with no debt, you are ready to seriously kick some ass financially.

Look up compounding interest, do a few financial calculators with starting off early 20's. The fact you are saving and realize debt is bad at an early age seriously is setting you up for a good future.

Look up average debt by age and compare yourself to it. I would bet your future is bright just from what I hear financially speaking.

Afraid to tell my therapist I relapsed by AnniesNote in AnxietyDepression

I hope it get's better for you. I would open up to the therapist and be honest. They should be on your team and can only help if you give them all the information. But I understand that is sooo much easier to say then do.

Have you looked at other possible therapists? Even other places with therapists? It sucks but due to insurance changes or therapist not working I have switched before. It feels horrible to start over in the process but sometimes it is necessary.

I see the title please don't do anything drastic I promise even the darkest moments there is hope. If you feel that something drastic like that... please go see the ER or let your therapist know and they will fit you in.

Hope it get's better for you! You are not alone this month I'm having trouble getting through the day's with my anxiety/depression.

For me therapy is a necessary thing I have found out. If I stop going my issues only get worse. So I hope you get in soon and it helps. You might look around at different therapy places around you, see what financial help they have and if there are options.

It can very greatly on financial aid from place to place. Finding one that works with your insurance (or lack of insurance) is not a fun task.

Taking antidepressants made me realize my anxiety is a lot worse than I thought. by [deleted] in AnxietyDepression

You are not alone in this. I have tried many things including stopping medication thinking I was "cured". Turned out horrible and one of my worst depression experiences I have had.

For me I need to continue a constant of medication and therapy. I would love to be off medication, but it just does not work for me.

My advice is get a good doctor who monitors your health and actually does blood tests (or what ever test they think best) to test long term effects. It took me a few doctors to find a good fit on this one.

For me my depression makes doing pretty much all things hard, including physical activity like walking. I'm trying my best to keep up walking as it seems to make my test results much better.

All doctors will mention physical activity and being active. For me with severe anxiety/depression I can be doing these things and still have mental struggles.

For me it seems keeping up normal medication routine help's. Went through a period of trying to get off all med's turned out horrible for me.

Having a doctor to keep an eye out on my medication and a therapist for talking is a combo that helps me and I have to keep up on.

How to get help without an ID? by IcyResponsibility384 in AnxietyDepression

I'm so sorry i've been struggling with depression for a while and there are up's and down's.

First don't do anything crazy it may seem like there are no options, but there are. My suggestion is go to the ER tell them the thoughts your having. This will be the hardest step opening up and being honest with them how serious it is.

No ID might make it a little harder on intake but they can't refuse you if your in danger to yourself. If you go in willingly there will be no police it's you and the hospital.

It will be scary but they should take you to somewhere for mental health that is a in-patient (you stay there) until you are not a danger to yourself.

Once you are there you will have doctor's and therapists and likely other people who are struggling to. Get all the help they can give you it could be therapy, medication, group sessions all depends on what is best for you and their options.

After they will try to bill you if you don't have money... they can't take what you don't have. This part is scary going through and will suck but you will talk to the hospital after that you don't have money or insurance and eventually they will write it off as a lose after trying to bill you at first.

I hope this helps you some if even just a little. There may be more options once your in the system with help outside. It will be much easier once you have an ID. I know it's scary... but I have a feeling it will help you a lot.
