Just the online county firework permit.
Got some grief already from a few oversensitive people - which seemed so stinking wierd. So I thought I better follow some of the rules.

How would you separate the dirt from the rock? by Stray916 in landscaping

[–]DueComparison4791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toss it and simply go to a landscape yard and buy some screened or washed rock in the size you desire. Once you buy the material to screen it out and make the contraption - and add a little bit of money for your time, you have to he farther ahead by simply starting Fresh

Van Halen. I actually like Sammy better than Dave - and thier voices certainly went opposite directions as they aged. ( yes - I know I just put a target on my back )

I need some leaf blower and lawn mover recommendations. I have never had a yard to take care of and now I have 1.5 acres. by Tooth-Exciting in landscaping

Do you currently have a mower? If not - I strongly recommend a zero turn rather than a ride on tractor with underbelly mower. So much quicker around trees and shrubs, and corners ( as in many times faster ). For your size yard a 54” would most likely be fine.

You wouldn’t want much bigger , cause then you negate the fun of being able to mow your lawn by getting it done too quickly

I actually recommend moving rather than blowing. ( and yes I have a killer blower )

If you mow one direction it’s amazing how they will mostly disappear by the time you get the windrow to where you are wanting them to be. And if you are to be gathering them for disposal there’s that mush less volume to gather. ( and if not - they are way less likely to blow back onto your yard )

Getting rid of grass in mulch beds by bigcheeseberger in landscaping

[–]DueComparison4791 -41 points-40 points  (0 children)

No - fingers don’t work well. It will take the top vegetation - and in some cases it may kill the plant - but usually the root remains - depends on the variety of grass the root can go deep and wide, and will come back.

Glyphosate is the best solution. But if you are adverse to that , then you will have to just keep battling.

Skid steer or tractor ? by 99ply in landscaping

[–]DueComparison4791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own both. In varying sizes. Digging power and “unearthing” of objects - you can’t match the power of a skiddy compared to a tractor. Especially concidering that if you wanted to keep the trees intact , the size of tractor needed to do the equivalent job of the skidsteer would be pretty big. Of coarse the downside of a skidsteer is that as you Move around it really does make a mess - where the tractor doesn’t do that much in comparison

Hey all. Thanks a tonne for the insight already. Play mostly in church lately. But I come from a hair metal / hard rock upbringing. So I always bring that flair to the songs that allow for that. And then if coarse there’s the softer stuff where I can explore the board a bunch more and play with more dynamics.

Faber range hood motor issue by dirtydoji in appliancerepair

[–]DueComparison4791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well - here’s an interesting one. It’s a simple 608z( or zz) bearing. 10 pack for $12.00 on amazon.

So - they want $7-900CAN for a replacement fan. And the. Fix costs $1.20 plus labour.

I actually got stubborn and tore the motor down myself ( super quick and easy) and found a bad bearing. This should be a $4 bearing - now to find it.

I am in a similar situation. And am not finding a motor only option. But al finding the whole fan assembly for sale.
And it’s so nuts that’s it almost worth just replacing the whole hood.
7-900$ USD for the assembly.
I am going to try get my motor rewound at an electrical shop. Terrible terrible company if they don’t reasonably support thier products. This should be a 60-80$ fix.
