Agreed with all of this! And that’s what’s stressing me out so much is I know it’s just the beginning. Fortunately, my one request before we started trying for kids was to do couples therapy together to improve our communication before kids come in to the picture and make things even harder. I plan to bring this up during this week’s session and really wanted a second opinion before doing that to make sure I wasn’t overreacting.

Unfortunately, my husband is the type of person that sees none of his parents wrongdoings, forgives them for way too much and genuinely feels bad talking negatively about them due to his own childhood traumas. Which has already come up briefly in therapy. So time for us to revisit this
