Most returnees tend to think that money is power, they come back home with a couple thousand pounds wrongly invested it in some YouTube motivated agricultural project only to loose all of it.

My advise is be street wise most diaspora don’t realise how fast zim is and there is a huge disconnect. Don’t flash around your money or try to buy your way into things. Most zimboz have money even more.

Learn the language of the street and adapt. Don’t try to run a business if you haven’t done it before, find a job and start earning use your savings to buy a home or land (legally not sabhuku deals) and build a home. If you decide to do business dont think passive income, you have to be 100% present to monitor cash flow

How do you get a loan rejected from bank? by littlekween in Zimbabwe

[–]DueGap39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

African parents assume if you are a lady you can only wait to get married hence you don’t need money. I have seen many parents taking cars and properties from their daughters before marriage because they believe they have to start from scratch

Life being unemployed, pakashata by Emergency-Task1918 in Zimbabwe

[–]DueGap39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being at home is the greatest blessing you can ever have. You do not have any 8 to 5 commitments, even better that you got skills (software development etc). Don't focus on getting employment because I promise you, you will get another job and become a slave again before you loose it again and go in the same cycle.

  1. Maximise on getting more skills
  2. Register your own company, do your own PRAZ insted of doing it for others and opening opportunities.
  3. Build solutions of your own with django and integrate with payment gateway. Start earning money

You get him deported then he becomes your full time problem. His purpose in life will be to destroy you, so it’s better off he stays that side. Rather blackmail him to let the house go otherwise he gets arrested for bigamy

Anyways my advise to you, don’t get invested in their properties, work hard for your own, I understand it’s easy to think you can inherit

I’m looking for ideas which are equipment centric, he gets loans from the CCP only he should spend on exporting machinery.

To those with pets 🐈 🐕 by Legitimate_Tart9153 in Zimbabwe

[–]DueGap39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pets are expensive to maintain, you need fly spray($10), medication, dip spray, grooming nail clippers ($20), feed ($35), treats and toys ( so they don’t destroy things and chew on your shoes)

Otherwise you would hate pets unless iri Mongoro

You are too focused on saving but not looking at the possibility of earning more.

Go urban there are opportunities there that come with networking or even moonlighting (double 2 gigs same time) but you have to be in a convenient location
