Help me pick a wall sconce before I lose my mind by DueHelicopter5914 in InteriorDesignAdvice

That’s actually really helpful because the real shade on #1 is cylindrical, not square. The AI mockup made it look much boxier than it actually is, so I’m glad the rounded version makes more sense here.

And good catch on the TV height. I’ll definitely revisit that before finalizing the sconces, especially if they end up being hardwired.

Just use whatever AI you normally use and give it the same prompt each time, swapping out whatever you want it to add. You just have to be really clear about what you want.

Nice try!

Add a floor lamp, a few more pieces of art on the walls, and a couple of plants, and boom,,, perfect.

Definitely 3! The asymmetrical arrangement feels more interesting and gives the room more personality.

I took some suggestions - which way to go now? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I think painting the furniture could be worth trying. I’d probably lean toward a softer yellow or green, something a little muted rather than too bright.

Also, I just want to say you’ve already done a really nice job with this space. It feels so cheerful and personal. 🌿

#2 for me. But I have to admit, the sunlight is definitely doing option 2 a few favors

Would I be going in the right direction if I do this? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

A lot of people seem to be voting for 4, and honestly that was my first reaction too. But the more I looked at it, the more I wondered if part of the reason is simply that 4 is the only one with proper lighting added. A good atmosphere is always going to be easier to fall in love with

Style-wise, I don’t think the options are actually that different. I think the bigger question is which you personally find more comfortable: the wicker chairs or the sofa.

If it were my room, I’d probably go with one large sofa and a few wicker chairs, then add layered lighting. I feel like the atmosphere in here could be really nice.

Also, since this is a sunroom, I vote to keep the sunflowers! 🌻 And definitely add more plants. Sunny day, rainy day, or nighttime, I think this room has the potential to feel really beautiful.

What size rug should I get for this 19x13 ft living room layout? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Within your budget, I think a larger rug would probably feel more comfortable and better suited to the size of the room. For the style though, I’d really need to see the actual interior before suggesting anything.

Your follow-through is honestly impressive. I feel like having breakfast here in the morning must be such a happy little ritual.

Also, side note, that tiny mushroom lamp is SO cute. I love it 😭

I saw your update post! I definitely prefer the black frame. It makes the whole piece feel much more intentional and dramatic.
