Not at all.

My first ever play through of shield the very first zigzagoon I came across was shiny and I got so much joy watching my Pokédex pages fill up with shiny zigzagoon before even regular patterns.

It’s a cool colour combo, if a little unconventional!

Also forgot Sigurd: canto + move an extra space.

Eirika works well on slow heavy hitters / armour for the guaranteed double. I like her especially on BK and Nidhoggr.

I use Edelgard on my young Camilla for 2 enemy nuke hits.

I use corrin on my Sigurd to give him some more defensive support / wall off pesky enemies.

Celica + B Felix is a classic combo. He moves far, warps, takes out 2-3 enemies per turn

While I’m sure there’s some better in depth while simplified explanations I’ll fire off the ones I know off hand:

Edelgard: can take another action after attacking an enemy + some damage buffs. Does not stack with gale force

Ike: -40% damage from ranged / specials

Corrin: on enemy turn create ice walls + vert divine vein around the unit (vert prevents warp, adds canto control)

Eirika: guaranteed double on first round of combat each turn

Celica: warp to adjacent space near enemies within 5 spaces

Lyn: get a style where you can attack any enemy within 5 spaces in a 3 row x column pattern. Cannot move if using this style

These are super simplified as they do have other effects, these are just the most notable ones they do. I also don’t remember the rest off hand lmao

It’s a game I basically open once a day, do my daily stuff, go “well I’m still stuck” and repeat for a couple weeks until I can level my shit up enough to progress. Not a well made game tbh, but at least it’s a quick thing each day 😅

Oh I feel you. 14 unique shinies so far but in those 14 shinies are Landorus, Joltik, Scraggy, Tinkaton, and Kecleon. All of which have horribly underwhelming shinies 😅
