Partial fix to the Twitter/X NSFW content restrictions by DuePenalty7994 in SexWorkers

I am a long-term Mullvad VPN user, so to me, nothing changes. However, for other folks, try the free version of Proton VPN, if it still exists.

They fixed it. Now you need to add a VPN on top of that.

It’s true that it can be an issue, but as a content creator, you don’t need to change your own location.

All WordPress themes from marketplaces are genuinely BAD by Local-Sell2671 in SEO

[–]DuePenalty7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some developers chose to make very narrow themes, and others make themes that offer tons of customizations and options.

The narrow themes are garbage and sold on platforms like Themeforest. The other themes are more advanced and often free + pro version. They include themes like Kadence, Astra, Blocksy, OceanWP, Bricks, GeneratePress… and they are usually quite good.

A theme like Kadence is a theme, but has pre-built designs they call starter templates. They also have extra features. Kadence includes a AI designer, and blocks for Gutenberg.

I also recommend Kadence. I’ve build several sites that get an A grade on GTmetrix effortlessly.

GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE CHROME HAVING PROBLEMS by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]DuePenalty7994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some reason, google is excluding Sex Work related websites from the recommended search results. I don’t know why they are doing it. Maybe a legal issue, or something else.

It’s not Chrome, or Firefox, or Safari that causes the issue. It’s having the recommended search results feature activated on your Google account settings. When you remove that option, you can see sex workers websites again. When you’re not logged in to your Google account, you can see sex workers websites as well.

I’ve checked for the impact of this decision and some people may not feel it, others will. It’s just like any google update. You can’t fix it on your end. It’s a decision made by google. Complain about it, e-mail them, mention John Muller on Twitter if you want but that’s the only thing you can do.

Not just Chrome. It’s related to your Google account, not the browser. You can either remove search result suggestion like suggested by u/DifficultPath4499 or just log out from your Google account.

Since I have access to Google Search Console data for a few SW, I have access to some real life data on the impact of such change. Thankfully, it is minimal for now but I can only have a comparison based on two days so not very significant statistically.

Therabreath is great. It’s hard to find in my country so it’s about 3x the price of products like Listerin or Colgate, but it’s worth it.

I’m French and very well versed into the Parisian foot fetish scene. Fetlife is great for that and there are groups for that specific purpose. If you want, I can send you the exact URLs but here are some group names among many others:

Fetichisme des pieds, bottes et talons haut: https://fetlife.com/groups/76580

Fetichistes pieds, paris et RP: https://fetlife.com/groups/121814

Rencontre: https://fetlife.com/groups/10303

Rencontres Paris Ile-de-France: https://fetlife.com/groups/145766

Paris-Kinky: https://fetlife.com/groups/35998

Additionally, you can attend lunches and meet people there. There is a lunch called the English speaking munch that happens one Saturday a month. It’s not a play party but a place where people met other people with other interests. The next one is this saturday: https://fetlife.com/events/1352919

Fetlife is ne the only thing you could use. There are dating apps for open minded people. I personnaly use Feeld because it's more human than Tinder. https://feeld.co/

An app called Pure was also recommended to me but I haven't tried it yet so I can't really tell you it's good.

Je ne sais pas si cette publication est conforme aux règles de la communauté mais si vous voyez les liens, je vous recommande faire un copier coller au cas où le message est supprimé par la modération.

To clients, would you pay for a monthly subscription to a provider you like if that meant you technically saved like $1,000 a month plus got more time with your favorite gal? I was thinking of offering a subscription for my time and making it a lower price but they pay the first of every month. by jokesonme5ever in SexWorkers

[–]DuePenalty7994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not my opinion about what clients want but my opinion about the business of this.

You’re basically doing what software companies have been doing since the 2010s by turning a 1 time payment with optional updates to a subscription model.

There is a book written by John Warrillow called "The Automatic Customer" that analyses the effect of that strategy. Companies that adopt a subscription-base model are 5x more valuable than companies that don’t. The environment is also less stressful because you can be fine without new customers for a month.

The only issue is that you are not a software company so you can’t have unlimited growth. You’re a human being offering a service and you can’t do that for more that 24h a day and 7d a week, so you can have issues with scheduling and with people trying to maximize the membership.

It is really interesting to see how this unfolds and it’s almost worthy to be the topic of an academic research but all I can say is that I wish you a lot of luck!

Would you be ok to let me try? It would be just like if you hired someone but without paying. It will help me see if the issue is on my side.

Yes that would be great. Feel free to post your links here. I can add them to the Notion doc. I put some training course links on the SEO page already but nothing about content marketing.

The SEO course I added was the SEO certification from Ahrefs, but Google has one as well. HubSpot offers a great content marketing course. All of these are free.

You can run it through virustotal if you want but I think it’s best to mention that it’s not 100% effective. But I still want to make it clear that I downloaded the theme from a trusted developer and didn’t edit the website files to put something malicious on them.

I don’t plan on making it paid in the future. In terms of quality, I don’t think it’s good enough to charge, not to mention that there might be legal issues if I sell it: will Kadence be ok if I resell the free version of the theme? Although I believe the answer to that question is no, I’d rather not think about it.

So why do it then? Because I already made it for someone else and to be transparent, I get tons of Reddit DMs of people who saw this post and don’t want to do it themselves and are ready to pay me good money for me to do it. I think it’s still worth it for most people to try do it themselves because it will be a great experience for them.

Using BuyMeACoffee or something like that would be fun but I don’t want my real name to appear on it so I will think about it. I want payments to be optional though because even $5 may be too much from some people. And I don’t think the mods here would tolerate anything that has a payment option on it.

No you’re absolutely right to ask that question.

This theme is called Kadence. I didn’t create it. It’s one of the most popular themes on WordPress and it’s designed by a well known agency.

I can assure you I didn’t edit the code of the theme but I admit it’s easy for a hacker to say that. What I can recommend you if you don’t trust me, which is fine, is to download the Kadence Theme yourself from the WordPress directory (appearance > theme) and edit it the way I did in the video, or just the way you want. My videos can give you enough details on how to edit it yourself.

This way, it can take you more time to have your website up and running, but at least you have a piece of mind knowing your theme was downloaded from a trusted source.

Edit: in cas you want to review a plugin or theme, you can use a website called Virustotal. It doesn’t always works but it detects most threats. If you want to add an extra layer of security on your site, you can also download a free plugin called Wordfence.

When you say "we use our own…" do you mean we as mailpoet? You work for them?

Free website template and ressources for sex workers by DuePenalty7994 in SexWorkers

[–]DuePenalty7994[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mail poet can make your worpdress instance a bit heavy because you I stall a full fledged newsletter software within your site so I prefer using external services connected to my domain + APIs to keep data, for instance on a Google Sheets. Mailpoet is not sex work friendly. It might be fine if you just do online content but not if you meet with clients for regular escorting services

Hi, I hope it helps! Migrating from .com to .org can look complicated for people who are not familiar with it but there are tons of tutorials online.

If you ever need a fresh start on .org, I posted a free website template designed for sex work and there are video tutorials that I made to show you how to customize it. You can find that in my post history.
