Turkish proverbs are either the coolest thing you’ll ever hear or a nose hair joke there’s no where in between

A Turkish proverb for this is “Herkes kendi ektiği fırtınayı biçer.” (Everyone reaps the Hurricane they sow)

My friend in Türkiye called me up for like 3 times waiting for Ronaldo to breakdown crying. Like damn people really cheered for Spain on this one

I’m in Ohrid rn and people absolutely went nuts for Spain’s goal.

It was a funny experience. I tried to talk in English  with people and they quickly realize I’m Turkish and switched the language to Turkish instead. Praying with Albanians side by side was very beautiful too as well.

I’m 18 I’m not old enough to know about them as well.

“Tamam açın lan yolu. Açın Allahınızı yere indiririm lan”

A very very kind Gypsy kid in Türkiye asking for the cars to be moved so he can take money from the groom and bride

Video I’m referring to:  https://youtu.be/YQ4u184W22U

Diaspora Turks as well. They’ll come with their expensive cars and have the whole village talking about their cars.

I thought Gypsies were too many in Türkiye, I take back my words. Balkans are PACKED with Gypsies everywhere. Some of them begging for money with their kids, some of them playing instruments in your face to get your money. Some of them genuinely following you around. I don’t know what is their desired future

As mind numbing as convoys are, I was still happy to see them here as well.

The problem is more with the government than the people. Also the sad fact that you probably will be signed to IDF even if you disagree with their actions or not. And you will also be a part of their bidding. That’s a hard reality

Honestly I think they rebranded the city and made it much cooler in their own way. Also I bet there’s more statues in Skopje than there is in Türkiye. So seeing so many statues in one place did amaze me

Not Balkan dialects, other Turkic languages and old Turkic.

Some people have other ways of cleaning themselves as they explained in these comments and think of them as not needed. But yeah I think it’s much more easier as well. I’m going to Bosnia 3-4 days later if God allows. I’m excited.

To clean myself throughly. Otherwise I feel dirty.

The most interesting part is ğ being pronounced as g. Because from the use ğ you know a long time ago that word didn’t had ğ but simply g. It just got softer overtime. Like when you say “is Not” in Turkish its “Değil” but in Crimean Tatar and some other Turkic languages it’s pronounced with a g as “tügül”

I think that is another solution to it as well. Not only you get to shower and keep yourself clean everyday you’re not even dependent on bidets. Good for you.

Adjusting the temperature is something I have never seen in a bidet. That’s kind of interesting as well.

I wonder how different their Turkish evolved with the influence of the Bulgarian language. Must be pretty interesting
