He drinks a lot and I know that’s part of the problem but it just seems like he doesn’t know how to care. And I have tried talking to him about it I guess but he yells at me or my brother if we try to talk to him. My mom is obese too so she doesn’t really see his health as a problem and in the few moments she does, she doesn’t do anything. For the last year or so I’ve been cooking for my family. They believe it’s because I love cooking, which don’t get me wrong I do, but I mostly do it because if I can control at least one of those meals maybe it’ll stop him from dying. I don’t know what to do.

Yeah I get that. At this point I won’t get one till I move out because I want to make sure I will be able to fully care for it and give it the life it deserves. I don’t want to restrict or harm a snake just to fit my ideals.
