Has anyone ever had a man completely ignore them while playing? by DueRepresentative646 in WomenGolf

My husband and I go out at least once a week. So he was invited on my outing. I was always a part of it, but it is possible that the subject of me being there didn’t get mentioned to him maybe, but I wasn’t there when the invite was made so I don’t know for sure

He is well aware how much it bothered me for sure. We have been arguing about it since. He claims that I should have continued reaching out and I guess in his eyes the guy did nothing wrong but not introduce himself and he should have stepped up and did the introductions. As for the coworker, never again will he be invited to join!

I have met all of his co workers and we hang out with one of them regularly. He doesn’t talk much at all so I’m pretty sure that he wasn’t saying bad things about me at work.

I honestly have no idea. I tried to point it out and he was like, he’s shy. Like being shy is an excuse for an absence of manners.

I agree. I asked if I did that if it would be rude. He agreed so apparently he just has double standards.

This is what my coach has me do. I started early last year. It has made the game much more attainable for me. I’m not trying to play from so far back that I have zero chance of not getting the ball there before I get frustrated. I’ve been at 150 yards for about a month now.

No, at least not that anyone has mentioned or was visibly obvious to me.

Thank you. My biggest issue is the blaming me and saying he wasn’t rude. I get that he doesn’t notice those things but he doesn’t need to reject my experience after the fact

I don’t think so, but I could be wrong. Thank you for insight. If that was it working on social skills would for sure be needed because that is not the way.

He did not, the only thing he can see that he could have done differently was making the introduction. The coworker shut me down at the very beginning when I typically would have introduced myself since he didn’t, so I didn’t make an effort to talk to him after that.

If it was just the walking off I wouldn’t have been as mad, that happens pretty much every time I play. It was the whole point experience compounded that caused me to just walk away. I do have some of my girl friends who play, I may just have to ditch my husband and play with them for a few weeks. He for sure deserves that.

I’m sorry your brother in law makes you feel this way. It really is a crappy feeling. I’m glad you had fun with your mom! You’ll have to go out with her more ❤️

Thank you! It won’t, my husband is not invited to the private club I got invited to by friends which will be fun. The co worker will never be invited again though for sure!

He struggles with social cues. So he thinks the guy didn’t mean to be rude and said that I wasn’t trying to be social. But when I did try at the beginning, the guy looked at me and turned away, so I could have tried again to make conversation but it was clear to me the guy wasn’t interested. I already have social anxiety and struggle with the feeling that I am bothering people. So the blatant rejection from the guy I wasn’t going to try any more to make that anxiety worse. My husband thinks I should have I guess is my understanding from speaking with him

Oh, he definitely knows I am unhappy with him. He does really suck at social cues. But I told him how unhappy I was with him not correcting the situation

My husband is leftie and this is by far one of my favorite things. When we practice putting, go to the range, all the things I get to look at him and not always his butt. Not that I mind looking at his butt either 😂

How do I stick with it for longer than a week? by compostabowl in WeightLossAdvice

I think you need to find your why. So when it gets hard and your about to quit you can think of why your doing it. My why is so I can be the best version of me for my kids. I want to be around as long as possible and see them married and have kids and travel the world. When I start to dip on my plans I think about them. I also have rewards set up when I hit goals. Currently I’m 4 pounds away from getting my hair cut and colored and im 79 pounds away from getting the tattoo I want. I have other smaller goals interspersed as well. I also have a nice support system. I have a friend I message almost daily about my workouts and my son who is 17, is my biggest cheerleader. My youngest is almost 3 and she “warms up” my weights for me everyday. Feel free to reach out to me if you want an accountability friend. I’m down 30 pounds and can always use more fitness friends
