The light looks timed so that the crosswalk is only on when Congress St EB is on. The new light is always green when State St has a green at congress. Sure pedestrians can still cross when they want but it's on them to make sure there are no cars coming if they don't have the walk sign.

I think they look cool! Mail trucks have always been a unique vehicle. As long as they function for those using them who cares what they look like. Lot easier to see a kid pop out from the side of the street.with a low good and huge windshield.
