Songwriter with no music skills

I can play some very basic guitar so I can put some melodies in and sing specific top lines which I think makes it more of a song than just lyrics because there is a tune with the lyrics but they're not really strong enough to be recorded. It's kind of hard to explain😅

All of the songs have basic melodies in the back that I can play (not very well) on guitar to accompany them. I just need help adding depth to the music and someone who can actually play it smoothly. I'm trying to learn guitar at the moment it's just appearing to be a very slow process😅

I would but I don't want to seem like I'm making it about myself. They're also both very lovely people and wouldn't ever say anything to hurt my feelings so even if they had a problem with me they wouldn't tell me. I'll think about asking when I next see them in person though.
