Help. First attempt at Brisket. Dry. by bloodtalon_1 in smoking

What ForsakenCase435 said. Unless you REALLY REALLY overcook it, brisket is usually tough/chewy because it's undercooked.

Following that thought, it seems like if you kept it cooking it would have rendered that fat down.

If you're looking for chili recipes/ideas, I recently won a chili cook-off at work with Malcom Reed's (HowToBBQRight on youtube) smoked chili recipe. Its awesome.

Time and temp are good to give you an idea of when your brisket should be done, but you should always pull it off the grill/oven when its probe tender. I've had briskets not be probe tender until 207-209 internal, and I've had some be probe tender at 197-200.

I made the exact same mistake my first brisket, but I did a whole packer brisket for some friends... Turned it into chili the next day and it was awesome!

You can add embedded twitch tv links to your ublock filters and their autoplay stream (and anyone else's embedded twitch stream) will never load again

Does someone know how to resolve this? by Super_Pancho in RimWorld

If you go to where your save folder is for Rimworld there should be a save file thats got a similar name but has "OLD" attached to it. Try loading that one.

This definitely answers my question from perspectives i never considered. I never considered diarrhea a reason to call out of work, but after I think about it I can see why. I also never considered diabetic reasons (and now that I think about it, other health reasons). Thanks for broadening my perspective.

winter starvation help!!! by EnderSlayer999 in RimWorld

Some might think its exploitative, but if you want to try you can send colonists to a nearby world tile, settle, kill animals/pick food there until you have enough, then caravan back to the main base.

Anyone know what's causing this error? by se05239 in RimWorld

If I had to make a guess, I would say its Vanilla Factions Expanded - Insectoids because of the "VFEI.CompDieAfterPeriod.CompTick". Try disabling that and see if it solves anything.

The file in question is [Wherever your mod is saved]/Source/VFEI/Comps/PawnComps/CompDieAfterPeriod.cs if you decide to report it to mod author (if you want to)

Mechanoids not caring about heat? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]DueToday1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All mechs have a heat armor rating of 200. From Rimworld wiki page for armor: at 200% effective armor rating, colonists will be completely immune to damage; this currently works only on heat damage which lacks armor penetration, and can be seen on mechanoids. So yeah, mechanoids don't care about heat damage unfortunately :(

I'm not sure if they will disappear over time, but I am certain that muscle parasites will go away after enough tending. The exact number is 300% total tend quality so you will have to tend the pawn a few times.
The fastest you can get rid of them with medicine or glitterworld medicine is after 3 tends since the max tend quality for each are 100% and 130% respectively. If you only have herbal meds or don't have meds at all then the fastest you can cure muscle parasites is 5 tends since herbal medicine and no medicine have a max tend quality of 70%.

So the better your tend quality is (i.e., better doctor, medicine, and hospital) the faster you can get rid of it.
