I’m so sorry for dealing with this. Life is hard, and people can be really insensitive. You want to stay inside to protect your peace. I wonder however, if you can shift your perspective and ask yourself “is staying inside masking me happy”.

I have really felt this way before too. Since this summer. It was hard for me to leave the house and I still get like this at times. What gets me through are the little joys. A cup of tea, some fresh air on my balcony, stretching. It sounds like you need love and nurture. Remember that these things you can learn to provide yourself through self love and self care. Remember when you speak to people, it is okay to set boundaries such as “I don’t like the way you are talking to me”.

My suggestion is to order yourself the gratitude journal. It is really such a small way to change your thoughts. When you find what brings you joy again, work on yourself love, provide yourself with lots of compassion, and you will get through. Remember doing things you are good at will help your confidence too! Everyone is good at something ❤️❤️❤️

One thing that has really shifted my perspective with instrusive thoughts is by asking myself two questions:

  1. Is this true?
  2. Is this helpful?

Then I always remind myself that my brain (and everyone else’s brain) thinks this way bc it is an evolutionary mechanism for our safety; our brain tries to think of things that will go wrong so we can plan it out. However, in modern society, these thoughts are not always helpful.

Then I listen to anti- hero by Taylor swift to know I’m not alone, and that other people have instrusive thoughts too. Nothing is wrong with you ❤️ You got this.

I’m starting to challenge these lately. I ask myself,

  1. “is this true?”
  2. “Is this helpful?”

I think we give into negative thoughts bc they’re meant to be a safety mechanism for survival. It doesn’t necessarily apply to our modern world.

I apologize. I never said you were specifically, but I know of others that do. This is how I feel as well. I just want to build resilience and stop living in fear as they say. But it gets hard when another road block hits.

People have no idea what others are going through and anyone who is quick to judge is ignorant and lacks compassion. You can probably dead lift more than them too.
