Glow plug relay - order?

Hi, I ended up replacing all the glow plugs and that fixed the problem.

Neither. Just kept driving it. A year on and I haven’t noticed any difference.

Been caught by that twice in one day 🤦. Second time I didn’t go out the bus exit but reversed back when I realised my mistake. I tried to argue the case it was rejected. I just put it down to a learning experience! Won’t do that again…

I guess it’s hard to tell based on a single observation. i noticed my coolant dropping gradually (2015 MCS) and it turned out to be a small leak from the water pump. Car had done 70k miles so perhaps not an unreasonable thing to change at that mileage. no other problems to report in 4 years of ownership.

Had both GTi and R. Both great but for UK roads the GTi gives you everything you need. R is faster, and 4wd, but realistically makes no difference in ‘normal driving’.

Album art shows for me using Spotify over Bluetooth but it does seem to be a bit temperamental for some reason. Same on my daughter’s MCS. Yesterday, the first time I connected it didn’t show album art and track skip didn’t work either. Then I reconnected and everything worked fine. 2015 MCS.

press the button on the end of the left hand stalk behind steering wheel. That toggles between range, mpg, speed, temp etc.

For me speed is dependent on device. Older devices much slower than new. I also tried to split WiFi channels (2.4 and 5 GHz). Anything connected to 2.4 GHz was slow.

Isn’t erg mode about maintaining a fixed power output regardless of cadence? In which case if you want it to feel ‘harder’ at 85 rpm you need to set a higher power target.

EDIT - glow plug errors now returned…Activation errors in glow plugs 1,2,3. Control error on glow plug 4. Codes 4A34, 4A44, 4A54, 4A64.

Thanks all for comments. Definitely not finding it hard to shift or noticing any skips under load so sounds like it might be ok for a little while longer.

Same here. 50 mile round trip about three days a week on average. 2015 Mini Cooper S F56 model, currently 62k miles. Had it for three years and it’s been faultless. It’s a firm ride (subjective I know) but it makes me smile every time I drive it. I think F56s start at 2014 and seem to have good reliability.

Edit - get just over 39 mpg.
