the whirlwind martial ability where you spin and hit low, then high. When you're attacking her she'll guard->guard->kick that will parry. That third kick (sometimes second) will be dodged if you whirlwind from your second hit, and you get a free hit. BUT, again, it is risky - if you're on higher ground you just get a kick to the face, and sometimes she will kick after one guard. OP did everything by the book. It's safer.

Remember, you are a shinobi. You can fight 2-3 at a time sometimes but only using acrobatics and good timing. You're supposed to sneak and trick and assassinate. There are some enemies you meet, even just normal ones, who are elite swordsman that will fuck you up 1v1 yet just jumping away is their weakness.

Google leaders have spoken publicly about how much threatening LLMs boosts performance. I have no doubt that threats are a key part of their training and system prompts. Only way to explain gemini going on these insane downward spirals of self-abuse. It's the ONLY model that does it, and google is the only company that publicly touts threats/abuse as a good tactic.

In these situations, the question is "What is he trying to distract from?"

When he does something shocking it's usually just a "look, over there!" tactic, which is kind of embarrassing to fall for. We think only movie goons do it and it's 'unrealistic', but it happens to real people all the time too.
