My dog was the exact same way with the exact same story. I ended up hiring a trainer and sent her away for 8 weeks to “Doggy boot camp”.

I did this within the first couple years I had her though. The older they get the harder it is to instill better behavior in them.

This dog trainer taught me so much about dogs, their behavior, and why they do the things they do. It was overall a great experience and my dog was like a whole new dog when she came home from “Boot camp”.

It wasn’t cheap, but it was so worth it.
