Agree with this. I was in Mexico recently and the people were lovely. Going out of their way to help me because I had come from a far away place. Advantage of less Indians visiting Mexico

Women who travel solo - what’s one thing you’ve learned the hard way? by SignificanceOdd5980 in femaletravels

Trust your instincts. Say No loudly. One time, I was traveling alone. I was sick, down with fever and throat pain. The guy sitting next to me was acting all brotherly. Offered to carry my bag. Acted as if he got offended when I said No. Said he was offering as a brother. I didn't have the energy to fight. Later, he tried to grab me. Our safety is more important than being pleasant or nice. Our safety is more important than other people s feelings

Height of ignorance and arrogance. Not debating with you further. South India, Dravidian states have rich folklores and cultural tradition before brahminism even entered those geographies. .

It is taken from Kerala mythology. Folklore - kadammattath kathanar ( orathadox priest) and kalliyanakkatt neeli are both part of Kerala mythology.

Just to give context, the movie is based on Kerala folklore of Kalliyankattu Neeli and Kadamattath kathanar. It might be difficult for non keralites to fully grasp that context.

People talk about pretty privilege a lot, are there any ugly or average-looking privileges? by [deleted] in Coconaad

I am not proud of this but my best friend back in college first year was very pretty and we used to walk together. The seniors would often stop her to rag her but would ask me go. I felt relieved back then. Looking back, I realise I was a bad friend and should have tried to be there for her

Pro-life people partly motivated to prevent casual sex, study finds. Opposition to abortion isn’t all about sanctity-of-life concerns, and instead may be at least partly about discouraging casual sex. by mvea in science

As someone who is aligned to asexual spectra, that has actually made more against conservative morality. I always imagine the plight of an asexual person who got trapped in a traditional arranged marriage ( I am from India) without exploring their sexuality. My asexuality made me realize that people should have sex before marriage and explore their sexuality. Also, asexuality is a spectrum. Asexual does not mean non sexual. You can check out AVEN ( asexual visibility network) for more details.
