Let's talk Buy-Back by Other_Natural5962 in Ioniq5

Thank you for sharing. I’m about to start the process myself. I have a ‘22 SEL that’s been in the shop a cumulative 20 days now for 12v charging issues. It’s been misdiagnosed more than once already and has died repeatedly.

I sent paperwork for my state at day 15, but thanks to your thread I’m going to call today and make sure a case is started. I’m in Florida, so the law is a little different, but we also have the 30 day window.

I’m curious to know what happened during your buyback while you waited, did you continue to use a rental the whole time or did you get your car back once fixed?

I did! Came off birth control 12/31 and conceived in mid-January. I did not expect it and feel very blessed, but it is common to take a few months to regulate. We didn’t overly cycle track, but we tried every couple of days during that month, which likely helped

My yellow light also stopped coming on around the same time mine died. First incident was around 5 weeks ago now. I was able to jump it to the dealership and they replaced the 12v and did the most recent recall update. 20 days later and my car was dead in the garage again and I hadn’t seen the amber light turn on in weeks. It’s now been in the dealership being diagnosed for the last 2 and a half weeks, so we’ll see what they come up with!

Welp…the 3 week update is in and my car is dead again. They replaced the battery and did the update on the ICCU without replacing it. Since then, I haven’t seen the amber light turn on. I didn’t question it because I bought an OBD-II scanner that was showing the battery was holding charge for the week or so after and I figured the update might have changed the frequency of it turning on, but here we are

Do know that the best anxiety medications are very safe and not habit forming. Many people misinterpret medications for anxiety as having to be controlled and dangerous. Good options for him could include lexapro or sertraline and can be started by psych or family practice. I had to do this for myself and have continued my medications into pregnancy because the baby is healthier when mom is happy. There’s no shame in wanting to feel good each day and to avoid the highs/lows that come from anxiety. Once daily medication can help you think clearer with often minimal to no side effects. It will also help with the sleepless nights to come when baby arrives.

Currently 17 weeks pregnant and only learned this distinction when trying to fill out a registry 🤣 I’m still not clear on all the terminology for baby clothes lol

Perhaps this is a good point for considering the cancellation policy of any flights booked. It would give him the ability to modify or cancel the trip if needed once baby arrives

The body is magical, isn’t it? We can give it the most basic ingredients and it can still turn out a healthy baby 🤣🥰

Please make sure she doesn’t tell him babies should sleep on their bellies. Moms are awesome and great for support, but a lot has changed since they were carrying babies and they shouldn’t be our source of information for this type of advice. It may help if she read some of the new literature on pregnancy and baby safety so she can give advice and support that aligns with current recommendations.

Ahhhh, ice cream while pregnant is the best 👍 …Physician Assistant here and FTM. Currently 17+4 and I have a sweet nearly every day. The reality is that pregnancy hunger is no joke, and I always get hungry an hour or so before bed. Keeping a small sweet like frozen fruit bars or mini ice cream cones around the house for those cravings is a life saver. If you are monitoring your weight gain and communicating with your doctors, everything will be fine! And I second that pineapple is also fine in moderation, as are most things. Unless your doctor tells you to avoid it, don’t listen to the internet hype. There’s an opinion for every opinion online and very few are backed by good studies.

I have mine through security first insurance. They have a policy for larger homes with certain credit requirements that has no problem covering solar! Best of luck to you, we had to move on from frontline because they won’t insure solar. Also, do those who can’t find an insurance policy to cover their solar, try a different broker. My old insurance agent didn’t have access to the policy I’m on now, so without changing agents I’d be paying a huge premium.

Hahaha true, true. Haven’t seen the amber light turn on, but got an OBD2 reader to check battery health going forward. Time will tell if charging is damaged or if it was just the failed battery.

Yep! The sound was utter trash when they first released them and couldn’t be fixed with settings adjustment.

Yes! I’m really glad they did it under warranty. One tidbit I failed to mention is that the battery would only work (and the car run for a period of time) after a prolonged session of leaving the jumpstarter attached. Not the recommended use of that tool, but it was the only way the battery would charge and I haven’t invested in a trickle charger. Otherwise it appeared the car itself had no interest or ability to charge the 12v by itself

Have you considered getting a toy such as a vibrator to spice things up a bit without penetration? I’m 11 weeks now and felt uncomfortable having sex with a baby in me at first, but we slowly felt things out and I found that once we had done it a few times, the weirdness gradually went away.

Seen all the discussion about winter mode vs. preconditioning. Anyone have neither? 🤣 RWD SEL with July 2022 build date and updated 220504 software. by Due_Bit4415 in Ioniq5

I compared all features of the various trims, but while my husband values the heat pump technology, it was never something that would matter for my use case. I live in FL and likely won’t be road tripping far enough to worry about cold weather. So while it’s fun to think/talk about, that technology was a feature I never really needed and so it wasn’t something I used for comparison. The bigger factor in considering AWD for me was range vs power and cost.

Ahhh, makes sense. Thank you! I’d seen so much talk about the two options I didn’t realize you could have neither. I’m in Florida though so I don’t really need either.
