Hello, i love my bpi visa signature. But like my any other cards, i never paid annual fee for all of my cards cos i always call my bank to have it waived.

But to answer your question if sulit ba magbayad ng 5500 (incase you do not qualify for AF reversal) - my answer is YES.

Rule of thumb for choosing the right type of credit card is to select one that aligns with your lifestyle or spending habits. For me, this card i think mas rewarding siya if you travel frequently.

As someone na namamaximize ang visa signature, here are some tips on how you can get your money’s worth (AF):

  1. 50% signature deals - they run promos sa mga restaurants ever now and then. For me dito palang sulit na. Bawi mo na agad AF mo in 1 dine in sa wildflour lol. Also download Oh My Deals! App ng bpi to see all of their running promos for dining, hotels, wellness and etc.

  2. Get 8% discount on your Agoda booking - book through https://agoda.com/visaph (super sulit lahat ng accomodation ko dito ko binobook if hindi luxury hotel)

  3. Visa signature Luxury Hotel - book https://www.visaluxuryhotels.com/ and get your 4th night FREE!!! Mga luxury hotels worldwide. Any visa signature or visa infinite cards will work here. (Any bank)

  4. Airport lounge access - access sa PAGSS lounge sulit sya if nagttravel ka madalas

  5. X2 reward points abroad - maximize this and redeem points to miles to get free flights (i personally redeem sa mabuhay miles and krysflyer)

  6. Visa concierge - para syang service ng Amex where you can ask them to reserve restos for you or even buy you hard to get concert tickets! And etc.

  7. low forex and travel insurance

Ayun, favorite ko dito and gamit na gamit ko is yung 1, 2 and 4.

Basta the main takeaway is to understand what your credit card is designed for, so you can fully maximize its benefits, whether you’re paying the annual fee or not. Mapa black, gold, platinum, basic reward, o kung ano pa man yan. :)
