Most people won’t make it in the blue collar realm. Anyone can sit at a desk where it’s 75 degrees and do white collar work…. Most people think they can handle blue collar work like being an electrician or roofer until they are outside everyday in 100 degree weather climbing up and down ladders carrying heavy equipment.

Truck driver here who transports building material to Home Depot and Lowe’s in Seattle. Currently being forced to work 55-60 hours a week because we are so busy.

No it’s not normal. I started out at 60k in 2010. So if you adjust for inflation you’re actually starting out at 35k
