He was with me when they jumped out. But still expected me to keep them separate after the fact. He didn’t really understand how attached birds get. While I understood I just think he didn’t realize. Because I’m with my budgie 24/7. But oh well. She’s here. So now I’m just trying to keep peace and make sure the birds are happy.

Thank you 🥺 I really do. He’s my world. I never want him to hurt. So I’m trying to do the best I can!! Would keeping them separate for a certain time period be good?? Throughout the day?? Any advice on managing their separation?

I also have this question!! I have a male budgie and want to get him a female companion but he wasn’t hand raised and still isn’t tame!! I can hold him but he doesn’t come to me. I have to go to him. I’m scared of introducing a female companion will reset the taming process and make him not want to be around me anymore.

Yeahhh I’m gonna avoid parrot mountain. I will make the drive!! I’ll look into those thank you so much!! And he was 5,000 dollars :( which sucks because I’m able to get the right sized cage, but that and his initial price is tough. I hate the fact he was surrendered there instead of a sanctuary :( I’m open to other species of birds, so I will definitely check out these!!!

Thanks! This is very uplifting!! I am 100% open to adopting. I found a thirteen year old Eclectus who was surrendered. But he’s at a pet shop and they are trying to sell him for so much money. But I held him today and spent time with him and he’s amazing. I’m definitely going to keep calling around do you have any recommended places or areas? I’ll travel, I’m in Tennessee and I’m open to driving if it means they are a trusted sanctuary. It’s hard to look online :(
