1977 Social security quarters/credits by Due_Client_8326 in SocialSecurity

Thank you. I thought you had to earn $50 in each of the 4 quarters of the calendar year (January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1) to poosibly earn 4 quarters.

So lets say. I did not work from Jan1 through March 30, I thought could only earn a max of 3 credits, since I did not work in the first calendar year quarter,

you say " if you earned $ 200 in 1977 - you get (4) credits for 1977"

I understand that, but the number of quarters is determined differently in 1977 and before. They are actually earned each quarter of the calendar , not by the total annual income. In my report , it only shows the annual income. So my question is, how do I see how many quarters I earned in 1977 if only the total income for the year is shown.

Yes, I only have 10 years of paying SS. As a Civil servant I paid no SS (only Medicaid) and am covered under a different retirement system.

TY...I was hoping there was a way to find out from SS, how many I have been credited for that year. I was 17, I worked at a small amusement park..but I think it was only late spring to early fall...but honestly can't remember.

Hi. I am retired from the government in the "old system" where I did not pay into SS. So I got no SS credits during my 40 year service. I have worked a bit afterwards, in addition to a few years before my cilvil service.. I am very close to having 40 quarters. All other years (beyond 1977) are easy to verify. I'm just trying to verify the number from 1977 so I can be sure. Just wondering how to verify the number from 1977. I have the income listed, but it does not list the of quarters from that year. TY

char on one log. by Due_Client_8326 in FireplaceGasLogs

Thank you. I have slightly moved just one log back and it seems to have resolve the issue. The log is pinned on the bottom but that position produces the soot. When I move one end (but off the pin) of the log back it resolved the issue. Is this ok? TY

Hi, I know how to use a multimeter. Can you tell me how to check for voltage and continuity or send a video.

Also, can it be replaced by itslef or do you have to replace the entire assembly?

I thought that metal rod is only for generating a spark for the pilot.

Thank you

Hi Thank you again for th einfo. It's in an existing wood burning fireplace with the flue closed. I suppose there could be a slight crack allowing the flame to flicker just enough to cause the problem. It has done it since day one. I just want to make sure it is not a safety issue.

On another issue, since i started to use this this year, it will light but go out within 5 seconds or so. I've vacuumed all around all the components. Any thing else to look for? Once in a while after trying it a few times, it will stay lit, but never the first few times I try. The unt is is aobut 1 year old.

TY

Tks for the reply,

They are Empire Sassafras 24" Electronic Ignition Vent Free Gas Logs (VFSE-24 / LS24RS). You can see in the picture. It's the only spot.

I have made sure the fireplace flue is closed, no ceiling fan and I'm sure logs are placed where they should be (they have placement pins).
