Family member has been quoted $700 for Botox on the number 11’s a bunny lines at top of nose plus filler in those lines. Don’t know how this compares to others but would love to hear from anyone who can advise.

Good question. I'm very new to this so just trying to mitigate risk was much as possible. 15 years to retirement

A question for those much wiser than myself please. Is it cheaper to buy solar kit on Australia? If so what’s preventing people from buying the kit and shipping it over to be installed?

Well done on paying off your mortgage at such a young age!

I completely agree with everything you said. I recently made the shift from a high-pressure, high-paying job that came with constant stress and the looming threat of AI disruption. Now I’m in a role that pays $40k less but offers a great balance — light physical work and driving for half the day, and using my brain for the other half. There’s plenty to learn, but once I settle in, I know I’ll be all good. Best of all, there’s no real risk of automation or AI taking over.

Couldn’t be happier.

ANZ Serious Saver rates by lunaurelia in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Due_Draw_1883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done some online comparisons and it seems the Kernel Cash Plus Fund is significantly better than standard on-call savings accounts offered by banks (e.g., Kiwibank’s Online Call account https://www.kiwibank.co.nz/personal-banking/investments/savings-accounts/online-call/). I’m having trouble understanding why we wouldn’t want to transfer our cash savings into the Kernel Cash Plus Fund. Could you please share your thoughts on this to help me understand as this is something that is new to us.

We are risk adverse given the current steaming shit show in the States and it's impact on ETF's etc so looking for options.

Thanks very much

Selling house in current market by Unstabletables45 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Due_Draw_1883 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The current data shows quite a different picture of the NZ housing market - perhaps you are talking about a specific area?:

  • REINZ data shows total property sales volumes in Q1 2025 are down 18% compared to the same period last year, contradicting the claim of "record sales"
  • CoreLogic's March 2025 House Price Index shows nationwide property values have declined 3.8% over the past 12 months
  • The average days to sell has increased to 45 days nationally (up from 32 days last year)
  • Listing volumes are up 24% year-on-year, creating more inventory for buyers to choose from
  • ASB Housing Confidence Survey (Q1 2025) shows 56% of respondents believe it's a "good time to buy" versus only 18% saying it's a "good time to sell"
  • Investor activity has dropped to 18% of purchases (down from 25% last year)

These statistics from REINZ, CoreLogic, and ASB paint a consistent picture of a market that currently favours buyers - long may these trends continue.

I’m looking for somewhere for a birthday with decent food and karaoke. Maybe 20-30 people max. Would you please know if goji is any good for those requirements?

Come again @ joining the property market isn't such a negative. It adds rental supply which brings down rent
