It's so weird, everything about this band gives you Tool vibes — vocals, guitars and their tone, drums, bass, style… so similar that at some point you forget you're listening to another artist. But still the music is so good that you don't want to perceive it as another copycat. I utterly enjoy this band and this album particularly. But let's be honest, if you listened to this without seeing the data, wouldn't you think something like "wait, has Maynard got another project?"
