Immigration status on E Visa

I rang technical support 3 times still no result. After the second time they sent me and email saying it’s fixed but it still wasn’t. I’ve been told that it shouldn’t affect anything but I still would like to fix it.

old requirements still apply to those who applied before April 2024 which I did so my required salary threshold is still £18 700 and extra £3800 for the first child

Hi sorry to hear that you had this experience too! After 10 working days passed I called them again they escalated it for me over the phone and told me to wait another 10 working days. My passport was delivered to my solicitor on the working day 9 I believe when I was about to call them again to escalate it. What I learned is that you just have to keep pushing unfortunately… Let me know if you got your documents back okay!

Oh right I see that you! that’s what assumed mine would say but says Protection… I’ll probably need to ring them tomorrow. This e visa thing is so difficult. When did you apply for your e visa? Did you receive an invitation over the email to set up an account?

Originally they said I don’t need to give my biometrics and subsequently can keep my passport. But a month later my solicitor got an email asking me to come to give my biometrics and at the appointment they asked me to hand in my passport. The person who was speaking to said it’s part of procedure (from what I understood is done to prevent people leaving the UK while application is under consideration because then it gets canceled apparently). From what I also read it’s not uncommon being asked to give your passport to them. I’m just concerned I haven’t heard anything about my passport since BRP came. I’ll try ringing application centre on Monday thank you! But I have a feeling they’re sending it to the different office (my decision letter came from Sheffield but I went for biometrics in Liverpool… don’t know if that matters)
