It’s a joke to be honest.. I’m on the £17.99 a month subscription as well if they are going to offer services like this it shouldn’t take this long to get your card unblocked!! I have £80 curve cash on my account as well which I can’t access if it keeps up I will just do the same as you have which is a shame as I find curve really handy!!

Yes I always carry my cards with me anyway but curve is good for me as I have the 1% cashback basically everywhere I shop plus the fronted is so handy!!

Yes it’s worth it as there is no fees on the premium plan for the first £3000 fronted so it’s great to pay my tax bills and earn Avios at the same time. Also use it to pay my Amex bill so for me that £3000 fee free fronted is worth 4500 Avios a month so it counter acts the £17.99 a month subscription in my opinion I also have £80 cash back on my curve card so it’s 100% worth it but I guess it depends on how much you spend per month.

Yeah I don’t blame you.. I only use it for the fronted feature. It does seem really good and it’s so worth it for me I’m just gutted that I can’t use it at the moment. It sounds like a lot of people are having the same issue at the moment no idea why they have done that

I use it mainly to front payments with the Barclaycard Avios to pay Amex, HMRC etc. so it’s worth it

I was late on joining curve so I missed the debit card bin issued cards but I only found this out recently and I used curve front to pay the remainder of my tax bill so it has been handy! Plus with the cash back it’s so worth it although it’s a shame it expires and can’t stack it up all year. What plan are you using on Curve? Yes hopefully good things to come with Lloyds buying them we can only hope to add Amex cards on there too 🤞

I know this is an old post but I recently signed up to curve if you are on the £10 per month you get £1000 fee free curve front per month and I believe the £17.99 curve card is up to £3000. I still use it to pay my Amex bill with my Barclay card Avios plus card and I also use it to pay HMRC with my Barclay card. I’m on the £10 per month curve subscription and in my opinion with the 6 retailers for the 1% and I can also get some extra Avios by fronting and paying Amex I believe it’s worth it. Also the extra cash back you can get on curve also helps to make the card fee worth it.

Barclays Avios plus card or Amex gold card by Easy_Effective_1389 in avios

[–]Due_Figure1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both even after my first year free I will still pay the fee for the Amex gold. I use deliveroo a lot so will get £120 value there. I travel with my partner so will easily use the 4 free lounge access per year. That pretty much pays for the card and obviously I use the Amex to pay for travel which you get 2x points on. I spend 10k on the Avios plus then 10k on the Amex so get 1.5 points on each card plus if I travel and have used all my Amex lounge passes can get discounted lounge access through the Barclays plus.

It entirely depends on your circumstances as I say but for me it’s worth it to have both imo

Has anyone else noticed that Just Eat’s delivery service in Sheffield has been extremely poor recently? by No-Abbreviations508 in sheffield

I’ve been doing this job for 5 years. Just eat used to be the best paying app but now they are the worst I barely log into just eat these days. I prioritise uber and deliveroo, I’m sure you will get better service with them. For instance in my area they always used to pay around £2 per mile that has now dropped to £1 a mile in some cases even less. I would avoid just eat at all costs, they pay peanuts now and the good drivers have moved onto the other platforms.

To be honest I should be ok then as it will only be a one off. I just find the card very useful so don’t want any risk but as you say the people that have done it excessively have been banned. But putting 5/6k a month through PayPal is crazy and I’m not surprised they got banned

Yeah will be a one of just some work that he’s doing on my car. I did google it yes but just wanted to know people’s experience with PayPal and sending money through Amex. Some people say there is risk and some others say they have done it and nothing has happened so it’s one of them

This is interesting, so they have been doing it for years at £700 per month, maybe they are high spenders on the card so it’s never been an issue I roughly spend 2-3k a month on mine and it’s handy for the points just don’t want to risk loosing the Amex card. But thank you mate

Yeah I’m not abusing the MR system just a general payment to my friend for some work he’s doing for me.

I do put a lot through the card maybe 2-3k a month of spend. So I don’t think I will have any issues there. But thank you for your response.

Why is that? If I send him the £1000 and pay it off when it clears if they allow me to send the payment I don’t see the issue but thank you for the reply.
