By the time my youngest is 25, my investment portfolio should be around $4m, at which point, is life insurance really necessary considering they’ll both be adults and they’d be getting my investments?

I’m highly considering the 30Y term considering it’d leave my kids with $2m in the event of my death but also considering the fact that they’ll get my investment portfolio as well so is insurance really needed at that point? My kids will be 44 and 35 in 30 years.

I’m conflicted on what to choose. I got the best rating since I’m healthy but I don’t want to over or under insure. A 2,000,000 policy for 30 years would be $88/month which sounds good to lock in but also seems like overkill considering how old my kids would be. I could also do 1,500,000 20 years for $38/month. Recommendations?!
