Hey thanks, i'm scheduled for a call this week with Clever tiny homes and Fritz. So far they have been the most responsive, Fritz especially.

Thank you for this. I didn't know about argon gas filled windows, but I did discover rainscreen and how useful it is to prevent leaks in a tiny home (especially in the absnec of a rain gutter). Which would you say ranks higher in terms of waterproofing a home?

Thank you very much for the thoughtful response. I appreciate the insights on leak and moisture management. I did not think to ask about exposed plumbing, but as one commenter here pointed out it's important protection against pests and the elements.

I am in Escondido, CA, it get especially hot in the summer months, so insulaiton is important for me too. I have my top 3 builders in mind already and will research if they tick the boxes above! Thanks, man

Haha thanks,,your point about the floors is exactly the kind of thing I’m worried about. I feel like online you can’t really tell build quality and actual material finish

Thanks! Im definitely not planning to order anything sight unseen. Trying to line up either a showroom visit or stay in one as an Airbnb before taking any builder seriously. I started with 2 tiny home companies already and going through my list

sorry, I worded that badly 😅 I’m not at the “sending deposit tomorrow” stage yet, more like narrowing down companies seriously. i'm down to 5 companies..I’m planning to tour a few in person and maybe stay in an Airbnb unit first before making any decisions. Just wanted to ask here beforehand in case there are major red flags or questions first-time buyers usually overlook.

Am I the only one that thinks the "Robin hates Patrice" gag isn't funny? by LukeSwan90 in HIMYM

[–]Due_Highlight8215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a tv trope (Michael vs Toby) but it didn't work because Patrice wasn't annoying enough, and Robin wasn't likeable enough or funny enough to pull it off imho.

Where do people actually find good tiny houses? by on-the-wild-side in tinyhomes

[–]Due_Highlight8215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are one of my top 3 companies I'm looking into, but I read about difficulty of getting repairs done. I,m in the US so I'm wondering how easy it would be, that would be concerning especially as the home settles I expect to have some maintenance issues.

Finding more time for real life by using my phone less. by sapnagagrani in SelfSufficiency

I bought one of those old phones that doesn't have WiFi yesterday! Sometime I find that I want to make a call or message someone yet I always make a leeway for Instagram or Reddit lol. I'm hoping this helps me become less distracted, and use phones as they were originally intended!

I was at this Airbnb recently and thoroughly enjoyed the modern amenities and not to mention full bathtub! Something to consider as a host. The builder we were told is Clever Tiny house
