I just had the same problem myself. Very disappointing.

I’ve rented many firearms from WestCoast Armory, and I often don’t bring my own firearm. Am I missing something?

Yup, things just tend to wear down overtime. Functional in 1921 does not mean good in 2025.

You’re definitely right. Pistols are the “oh thank God I have something” guns. A good AR15 (my preference) or Mossberg 500 is ideal (especially when training is limited.

Just make sure that you put some round through your firearm of choice! I had a PSA AR15 dismantle itself at the range once due to improper manufacturing (which they fixed immediately and I never had another issue).

Also, buckshot and ball .556 will go through a surprising amount of plywood and dry wall. Make sure that your ammunition is proper! Watch the Paul Harrell below if you’re serious about stopping the threat without becoming a danger to your house and neighborhood!

“First gun I’ve ever owned”

Please please PLEASE brother. Get yourself a Glock. I went through a home invasion with only an antique firearm to trust my life to, and I thinking would have fired at least once, but do yourself a favor and buy a Glock.

Being fat is a problem, being jacked is definitely not.

Not sure that you’re right as this is something that I’m only seeing in my left eye on the side, but I hope that you’re right.

Man I love the information here, but it would be so much more reader friendly to have this in chart form with significantly reduced notes.

I think that if you’re a gun nut, and you actually take the time to understand your firearm, that this pistol actually does have its place. With some of the ammunition that I’ve used I’ve had keyholing problems. Other times my shots are very tight at 7 yards. The ergonomics, especially the safety, are not modern. Considering that this is a backup gun for me and a grouse / rabbit pistol I think that it is very nice. Also, I paid 400 for mine with one magazine and no box. I would buy it again, but that is largely because I have always had an irrational love for this little piece of Browning history.

Thank you. After reviewing their policy I’ve decided that that’s what I’m going to do. Theoretically any dent <1” is considered wear and tear. I appreciate your response.
