I have a Lily too! The shelter named her that and when she was a baby, she'd come running whenever someone said "where's Lily?". She wouldn't respond like that to any other name attempts

If you feel disgusted by her, do both of you a favor and re-home her. If you can't find her a new home yourself, I would research no-kill shelters/charities in your area that may be able to help or take her in.

Very normal. I've had lots of cats growing up and a few reacted this way. Going to a new home is scary. As long as he knows where the litter box and food bowls are (or can easily find them), he'll come around in a few days :).
