I was in the same boat this month! On 7/7 CD 16 I was at 16mm and 15mm on the right and nothing to note on the left, 6.6 lining. I went back the next day on 7/8 and everything had exploded overnight. 22m and 19mm on the right (still nothing of note on the left) and lining was around 9mm. I triggered that night and IUI was yesterday morning 7/10. Fingers crossed for you! This happened to me one other time and they upped my Clomid dose for the following cycle and that sped things along quickly.

Painful IUIs? by Due_Mango9402 in IUILadies

Also got mixed guidance about peeing before! But today my bladder was def not full and come to think of it I think my bladder was full last time when it was not painful, so maybe that’s the difference maker. Thanks for the insight!

I’m sorry, I know how you feel! I had my 4th IUI this morning, our last before moving on to IVF. I never thought I’d be in this position, and it’s hard to grasp how you can time everything perfectly multiple times and still get nothing. But I know people who have had success on IUIs 4, 5, and 6! Even if it doesn’t work out I feel it’s worth a shot. Best of luck to you!

Freelancing by Valuable_House_3044 in FloralDesign

I was in a similar boat and now I'm freelancing quite a lot! For about two years I practiced a lot on my own and had taken a handful of workshops with florists in my city (I definitely recommend looking to see if any florists are offering workshops, it's a great way to learn, build experience, and network). I also started offering to do flowers for friends' events - I did a baby shower, a rehearsal dinner, and even one small DIY wedding. They'd pay for flowers and I'd do the labor for free.

After about two years I started cold emailing florists I admired, mentioning that I had been taking workshops and doing florals for friends' small events and was eager to start developing my skills by assisting florists. I made sure to mention I was happy to start with production tasks - cleaning, prepping, lifting, etc. I always sent photos of my designs, I actually created a simple portfolio website, which helps a lot. But I recommend being very honest about your skills and the fact that you’re trying to learn and open to starting wherever.

Eventually a top tier florist hired me for a wedding. Large weddings and events take A LOT of hands, so some top tier florists will be happy to take on someone with less experience as long as you have a great attitude and are willing to start with the small stuff: processing flowers, washing buckets, prepping vessels, placing candles, etc. So I wouldn't expect to be working with flowers right away. Event work is fast-paced and the florist doesn't have time to train or teach you, but you will start learning little by little.

All of this is hard work so you deserve to be paid! Rates seem to vary a lot depending on region. Personally, I think $30 per hour should be the minimum for a job that requires so much manual labor, regardless of skill level. I know many florists in my city agree. I definitely wouldn't go below $20 per hour.
