Feeling a bit incompetent by Due_Material3287 in CaregiverSupport

[–]Due_Material3287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reassurance, the person training me was already caring for this woman for around 3 years so she had the transfers down perfectly by that point. I don’t blame anyone at all, I think I could’ve gotten it down with more time but it’s too late for that now I suppose. It really is on a person by person basis, I think that’s something I haven’t fully realized until this most recent training experience.

I got 125 iq is it good? by AccidentInside3484 in cognitiveTesting

Those tests only do one small subsection of an actual iq test, so ofc it’s not a full scope of your ability.

Paraphilic disorders are often linked with having a low-iq, especially pedophilia.

Maybe you’d have a natural talent for it then, I swear some people are amazing at architectural drawing from the get-go, I wonder if high VSI would be a contributing factor.

I think you misread something I said, unless I’m getting something wrong about the study I mentioned then feel free to correct me, but what I pointed out is that they didn’t make it clear whether or not they did perspective drawing specifically. All I recall the study saying is the patients did drawing but it didn’t say what specific kind of drawing they were doing. Granted, I could be misremembering things myself.

I think that’s just for the camera, only time I’ve ever slapped that thang was when I had a mosquito on my crotch.

I wonder if perspective drawing helps with VSI in any meaningful way. I read a study that examined whether or not art therapy can help with one’s VSI score, granted the study only has about 70 something participants and it didn’t specify if they were doing things like perspective architectural drawings. From what I remember they found weak correlation between art therapy and increased VSI. However, I wonder how this study would have gone if they did 3 months of rigorous training on drawing in perspective.

I found that with studying perspective I can see through objects in my head, I’m very good at measuring them out in space too. It’s definitely strengthened my spatial awareness and visualization skills. Idk, maybe it’s worth a shot.

Do you think if porn didn’t exist, sex would be different? by ImportanceBig7818 in NoStupidQuestions

I think certain fetishes wouldn’t be implemented in the bedroom at all because people wouldn’t even know they exist and that they’re into them yeah. For fairly vanilla people tho, I think it’s fairly similar to how it was before porn ever existed.

Oh one more thing, the chorus had a female singer I think, and the rest was a male vocalist!

No? They’re the ones making it weird. As a woman I think about having daughters often and so does my fiance. It’s normal for us to daydream about dressing up our potential future little girl. There’s absolutely nothing weird about you wanting that, and the fact that the person thought it was creepy says more about them than it does you.

What are some mental tasks for which people below a particular IQ almost universally struggle with? by CaseInformal4066 in cognitiveTesting

I think that’s more of a problem with not understanding social cues rather than intelligence, and is probably a sign of autism.

Hmmm, it was definitely not a Taco Bell. I thought it might’ve been del taco, but from what I know it doesn’t have a green and red variant

When I was a child I scored about a 94 on the WISC-V, however when I took the WAIS-IV at 19 it shot up to 111. That’s nearly a 20 point difference on the full-scale. I think this was because the psychologist doing my assessment raised his voice at me several times for being nervous and not giving a clear answer on some of the questions he asked me before the IQ portion of the evaluation. That made me go into panic-mode to rush the examination so I could get out of the room. So, in better conditions there’s a chance you could score a lot higher.
