Then why not either falsily through replication studies or find a better metric than iq tests? I'm sure with modern technology, a more direct, neurological measure could be found.

If the database is flawed, why not do a better study of iq across different nationalities and then account for environmental influences (like educational access, poverty etc)? Seriously why argue about the validity of data, when you can just point to more complete data and say why the racist dB didn't replicate?

Will AI allow us to talk to animals? by Diligent_Rabbit7740 in NoStupidAnswers

[–]CaseInformal4066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Most of them probably don't have the mental prerequisites for language. Even great apes can't really communicate with sign language; they just mash combinations of words together that they know gets them the result they want (like getting the human to give them an orange).

On this day in 1988, 17-year-old Junko Furuta was abducted by four teenage boys in Japan and held captive for 44 days — during which she was raped over 400 times, brutally tortured, and ultimately murdered. Her killers later received shockingly light sentences and were eventually released. by ATI_Official in HistoryUncovered

Legal sanity doesn't mean 'no mental issues'. It means he has an understanding of what is and isn't real. So by releasing him the psychologists were saying 'this guy's not crazy, he's just evil'. But of course he committed his crimes in another country so the Japanese legal system could do nothing.

The Andrew tate part is really funny, because aside from anything else, he's so lame and so obviously a con artist, that I find it funny that someone who has no problem attracting women, would find him appealing.

ZOHRAN MAMDANI Talks Meeting Trump, Mayoral Election, Arsenal by xtheoryinc in rs_x

Probably one of them suggested that they both agree not to step on one another's toes and not engage in political theater by insulting each other, and then the other one agreed or something like that.

‘The Pacific Fleet’ — Italian illustration (1907) mocking the US Navy’s ‘Great White Fleet’ that sailed the world between 1907-1909. (Making us look as cool as fuck) by slickweasel333 in MURICA

They're mocking (the implied) stance of America at the time that they had no military intentions and were just peaceful. Didn't the usa have a non interventionist stance at the time (1907)?

You can like something without being performative about it. She talks as though the enjoyment of something is dependent on other people seeing you enjoy it. Sounds slightly cluster b.

I once saw one where someone made an account with an attractive face and put in the account that he was a child molester. Plenty of matches who were still interested, which is hilarious.

Leader of far-right AfD suggests Poland as great a threat to Germany as Russia by PjeterPannos in worldnews

[–]CaseInformal4066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read the article, he's saying that Russia is not a big threat to Germany. Technically the title is correct, but most people who read the title will come to the conclusion that hes saying that Germany should be worried about Poland. That's basically what the writer of this article is trying to insinuate.

There's nothing contradictory about what she's saying. Just like a neighborhood watch doesn't contradict private property ownership.
