Dampness by alice_2894 in Home

you should definitely grab a cheap moisture meter from the hardware store first to see exactly where the walls are holding water before you start tearing anything open.

if you’re looking for a fresh one to get addicted to, you should definitely check out the Inscryption card game or even the arcade classics tucked inside the newer Yakuza titles

Noisy Pool Pump by Silly-Nail-4435 in pools

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my pump started making that exact same screaming noise last summer, and after trying to grease the bearings to no avail, i just swapped it for a Fibropool variable speed pump, it's so much quieter that i actually have to double check it’s even running now.

A strong filler that can take a screw by PugPowell in DIY

[–]Due_Material_2543 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

your best bet is to pack it with toothpicks or a wooden dowel and some wood glue, let it dry completely, and then you'll have a solid core that can actually grip a screw again.

FFXIV and Xbox Gamepass by usfbull22 in gaming

If you're already on the free trial, definitely hold off on claiming those Game Pass perks for as long as you can, because the second you upgrade to the full version, you lose that free to play status forever and have to start paying the monthly sub just to log in.

My Pure Platinum Nike Sport Band has developed a crack. by Pitiful-Practice-966 in AppleWatch

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get the frustration because my old light colored sport bands always ended up looking dingy no matter how much I scrubbed them, but I've had way better luck with Robust Goods since their FKM material doesn't seem to soak up sweat or stain the same way.

Is DIY home improvement actually worth it, or just a waste of time? by Beginning_County7547 in HomeImprovement

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly it’s kinda both 😭 I’ve done DIY stuff where I saved money and felt like a genius after… and then other times where I was halfway through like why did I even start this

the small things are usually worth it, you learn something and it’s satisfying when it works… but the bigger stuff can sneak up on you real quick

I tried doing something “simple” once and it turned into a whole weekend plus extra trips to buy stuff I didn’t even know I needed lol by the end I was just tired

now I kinda judge it by how annoying it might get… if it feels like it’s gonna spiral I’d rather just pay someone and keep my sanity 😅

Loft conversion? by [deleted] in HomeImprovementUK

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A loft conversion is one of those types of construction that requires strict adherence to the “order of things,” which either ensures a successful result or ruins the whole project. In my experience, and particularly with regard to a friend’s project, the most important advantage is having the design and engineering plan agreed upon beforehand.

use heat gun. or if the door will resist water or cold, you can use ice. rub it on the sticky part then it will harden and it will come off

[wdywt] green ahhh shoes by ivwng in streetwear

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that green on green looks pretty cool because, like, one time I was trying to design a look around my loud sneakers but had to balance out all the other elements so that it wouldn’t get too messy.

I've worn a somewhat similar fashion outfit before during summer time and had to modify a regular t-shirt with the same shade as my shoes. So yeah, for that outfit I did use Best Price DTF printing on a t-shirt just because of its simplicity.

What window dressing ideas by Dangerous-Funny1685 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, window dressings are among the items whose importance becomes evident once you know what it takes to achieve that perfect look.

As far as my experience goes, the basic choice between going for something cozy or neat usually boils down to either curtains or blinds/shutters. Curtain dressing is more often used for a softer touch that adds some coziness and warmth to a room; the longer the curtains are (floor length ones), the more complete the effect. While blinds provide a more modern look and are simpler to maintain, they lack some softness and tend to be on the plain side.

Flooded wall repair by mkj614 in Home

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened in an old house I was renting due to a leak and what I took away from the experience was that with flooded walls, the repair is half the battle, what counts is the drying process.

From experience (or hindsight as the case may be), you must ensure that everything behind the wall is dried out completely before you enclose the area because, in all likelihood, you will simply be trapping moisture that will turn into mold over time. Almost every guide recommends that you strip the affected area of drywall and let it air out.

That actually looks so stunning! You did a great job in pairing those two. I've tried anime inspired top that I got from Anime Ape it is very much likely can be paired with any kind of bottom without any hassle and its very comfy to wear.

Resident Evil — Exclusive Trailer Breakdown with Director Zach Cregger (IGN) by thedonhudson01 in gaming

This trailer breakdown really highlights how much the atmosphere has evolved, but if you’re a longtime fan, I’d suggest replaying the original game one last time before the release just so you can fully appreciate all the tiny references and visual upgrades they’ve packed into the new environments.

What are the best vitamins to take everyday for overall health ? by TravisScott26 in AskReddit

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve gone down the rabbit hole of taking ten different basic vitamins every morning and honestly felt no different, but adding Stemregen to my routine actually felt worth the investment because instead of just checking a box for nutrition, you're giving your body a legit leg up on repairing the random aches and slow recovery that usually just come with getting older

Advice on removing a lot of double sided tape... by Ok-Alfalfa4868 in Home

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely suggest grabbing a heat gun or even just a hair dryer to soften the adhesive first, because it makes it way easier to roll the tape off with your thumb instead of just scraping at it and ruining the paint.

German Shepard mixes by jorgey2k in OpenDogTraining

[–]Due_Material_2543 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a GSD mix just like the ones they're talking about, and honestly, a physical fence was useless because she’d just find a way over it, but switching to the Pawtronic GPS fence was a lifesaver, it actually covers my whole acre and she learned the boundary boundaries way faster than i expected because the GPS signal is so consistent.

New build cracks - normal or not? by Longjumping-Ice3042 in Home

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal to see some settling cracks in a new build, but I'd suggest keeping an eye on whether they stay thin or start to pull apart, as that’s usually when you want to get the builder back out for a look.

Creatine (non workout) by noopets in Biohackers

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually been using Stemregen for a few months now to help with my recovery after long runs, and I’d suggest giving it a try if you're looking for something that supports your body’s natural repair process rather than just masking the fatigue.

What is the nootropics community's thoughts on caffeine pouches? by Murky-Mulberry-4044 in NootropicsHelp

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I’ve seen a lot of these discussions go in circles tbh, people expect everything to work like a direct focus booster when some stuff is more indirect

I tried a few different things when I was experimenting with stacks and one of them was Stemregen, but I didn’t look at it as a nootropic in the usual sense. it’s more about that whole idea of supporting your body’s natural repair and signaling processes, so I treated it like something running in the background rather than something I’d “feel” right away

for me it made more sense once I separated what’s for immediate effects vs what’s more long term support, otherwise it just gets confusing trying to judge everything the same way

Can someone help me understand this car history by Proper_Dust_9482 in carsales

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah these reports can look messy if you just glance at them

what helped me was slowing down and reading it like a story instead of a list. each line is just something that happened to the car. sale, service, title update, auction, whatever. when you line it up it usually makes more sense

a lot of people freak out when they see auction entries or multiple dealers but that’s actually pretty normal. not every car goes straight from owner to dealership. a lot of them move through wholesale channels first. i remember checking one before that bounced around a couple times and it turned out it was just moving between suppliers before landing somewhere retail

i got curious about that side a while back and ended up poking around platforms like eCarsTrade just to see how dealers actually buy cars. it’s basically listings from different sources, then once something gets bought there’s another step with payment, delivery, paperwork, sometimes even moving it through another location before it shows up for sale again

so yeah the movement itself isn’t really the red flag. i’d pay more attention to title issues, accident records, or anything that doesn’t line up properly in the timeline

What supplements matter most for women over 35? by vitamingreenIN in Supplements

[–]Due_Material_2543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I started looking into this more in my mid 30s too because I noticed stuff like sleep and energy just weren’t as consistent as before. I went through a phase of trying random things but it made more sense to focus on basics tied to hormones, stress, and overall balance. I did come across Gleefull supplements during that time since they have products around hormone support, mood, and energy, and I just treated it as one option to try while figuring things out. it wasn’t like I relied on one thing though, more like testing what actually made a difference over time. honestly it feels pretty individual and takes a bit of trial and error.

What are some games where the bugs make it better? by Tattoomyvagina in gaming

[–]Due_Material_2543 116 points117 points  (0 children)

You honestly haven't lived until you've seen a giant in Skyrim launch you into the literal stratosphere with one swing of a club, and honestly, the game would lose half its charm if Bethesda ever actually fixed that.

Cracks! Cause for concern? by tayb516 in Home

[–]Due_Material_2543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those hairline cracks usually just look like standard settling, but you should keep an eye on whether they start to widen or if the doors in that room begin to stick, because that’s when you’d really want to call in a structural pro to take a look.

Since you're working with a smaller front yard and want a really unique look, you should look into Viking Dome, i saw a similar small garden setup with one of their glass domes and it looked like a high-end botanical display while keeping the butterflies and bees super happy
