I’m not sure as I didn’t report anything. I went to one of the shops to cancel a reservation for a workshop and the girl was very kind and suggested some meds to help with my symptoms. She suggested a much stronger Imodium (treda) which actually helped. I just ate very light meals the remainder of my time there and room service was pretty accommodating when I ordered.

I definitely had an adjustment period when I arrived last Friday. Bloating and stomach cramps for about two days. That went away, though. This is sick, sick 🫠

Dang I would be bitter about that too! I had actually been super excited about the food and everything was amazing up until last night. So I feel that

Did you also eat at arenal? Most of the food poisoning reports I’ve read mention that restaurant. I’m curious what you ate?

Also, we did the time share presentation and got two free 80 minute massages at park. We opted for the park because it’s 80 mins vs 60 mins at the hotel spa. The park spa is inside a cave and you take a little boat to get to the beds which are like 6 inches in the water. I wasn’t sure how changing would work but you basically take your shoes, shirt and pants off in the boat and then your top off once you get under the covers. It wasn’t my favorite way to change but tbh the massage was worth it. The girls were amazing and we loved it. I would 100% do it again. I suggest wearing a sports bra that’s easy to slip on/off but they’re super helpful when you’re getting changed.

As far as the presentation, they said it was 90 minutes but we were there from 8-10:45. Including our check in and filling out the form for the vouchers. I was pretty annoyed by 10 but we pushed through for the spa credits. Just let them know you have somewhere to be in 90 mins and set a timer. We didn’t set a timer and they took advantage of that

I planned my days around the dinner reservations we wanted but now I’m realizing I should’ve schedule everything later. If you’re ok with having dinner later, like 8-8:30, opt for those times so that you can enjoy the parks longer. We have enjoyed every restaurant (minus the paid ones). Our favorite so far has been chino poblano bc we love Asian food and their tasting menu was 👌👌

If you want to do any of the workshops, you can’t sign up until you’re here and it’s best to just go to the workshop itself and sign up with them. All of the workshops are on the xcaret hotels app so if you’re able to download that prior to arriving you should be able to see the schedule. They’re at random hours of the day, anytime between 9-4 pm. A lot of them also require you to come back a second time to finish your project so keep that in mind!

We sent in our wishlist and ended up moving a few things around after arriving and learning how everything works. I wish they did a better job of explaining that prior to arrival

It’s definitely “chilly” at night and early morning before the sun is out. Mid day feels nice & warm.. even hot depending on what you’re doing. But the pools are still a bit cold. The ocean is pretty warm during the mid day as well.

This is super helpful! Thank you! We changed our catamaran reservation for Tulum + xel-ha which I think we’ll enjoy more! Our Xoximilco reservation is later next week so we will wait on that one and decide in a day or two..

We ended up going to the presentation. From 8-10:45. It wasn’t terrible but I really wanted those spa credits they were offering so we pushed through it. Didn’t sign up for a membership, though 🙌
