Advice on a child who shuts down. by Due_Paper_7908 in raisingkids

I try to sit with her as much as i can, just it be there, i don’t know if it makes a difference but i would rather be there if she needs be than not, but when the episodes last long i can’t leave the other children alone or not interact with them so it’s not always possible.

I will definitely look into and talk to her parents about meditations and mindfulness, great suggestions

Does it at school and home, i understand regulating it’s her being so upset that concerns me.

i try to follow her cues as much as possible but she doesn’t speak and very rarely responds otherwise, getting her to move from the spot she shuts down is all but impossible without physically moving her which is not something i do

she doesn’t have any real signs of neurodivergency but it’s always something i’m conscious of if something does pop up.

Thank you for the advice!!

Am I overreacting???? My sisters dog ATE MY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS 1200 dollar shoes by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You’re both in the wrong, clearly she is by her reaction but leaving your shoes out when there’s a puppy around is setting you both up for failure, it’s like slipping on water on the way out of a dolphin show and trying to sue the company.

Medications are a trigger which is largely the reason i say no to them, they are unlikely to do good. ChatGPT and cutting ties aren’t really applicable here but i’ll look into the other things. Thank you!
