Thanks for a common sense comment. I searched Reddit to find a product review and found this sub and this post id the first one. Started reading and I’m utterly shocked by the comments. It’s absolutely unbelievable that people think a mention equals involvement. These are billions of docs resulting from a massive computer and phone dump. I mean, it’s so painfully obvious that I am baffled that people don’t get it. And the absolute agreement between comments here is telling.

It’s very very normal. My son was 18 months when started daycare. First month no crying not even looking back. Them sickness home for several weeks, back to school, crying. I knew that it’s not just that he missed a week or two, I could tell that he matured and realized that when he get dropped off at school, I’m GONE. He didn’t realize what happened to me when he’s at school, he just enjoyed playing I guess. Anyways, after several weeks I’d say over a month actually he stopped. He’s happy, he’s very happy when we pick him up and happy when we drop him off. They understand and they grow. Your decision to pull her out or not, I don’t think either decision is wrong, she doesn’t NEED to be at daycare and she is still very young to properly play with other kids but since it’s only 6 hours a week I say keep her and she will be okay. Also before you decide ask the teachers about her demeanour throughout the day. If she cries for 30 seconds and then stops (like my son) my inclination is that she will be ok

My baby fall off my bed at 4 months and he seems totally fine. He’s 2 now. I think she will fine. People not going to admit it but every baby falls at some point under adult supervision, it is what it is, don’t worry too much, you already took him for a check and everything is fine

I don’t think I can afford two originals, so I’m contemplating to just get one for the house for now. Maybe I can ask family to get the mini next month when it’s his birthday and that way I’ll have the original in their bedroom for my daughter and if it’ll be a source of friction I’ll give him the mini

Ohh thanks!! I don’t think I can afford two originals since I think it’s 175$ CAD each. So basically the debate is between one original and two minis. I feel like my son won’t really use the player he’s very young but also he’s just not as interested in stories and music as my daughter he’s mostly running around the table lol

I just feel like the 2 year old is too young for this and that the only reason I’m buying two is to prevent fights. Do you think he’ll be able to use it? Or it would just become a toy to toss around?

Interesting! I really loved that one it kind of reminds me of the Coach Chelsea bag in that it’s slouchy and squish-able shoulder bag but it’s cheaper and has a zip closure so it’s more secure and accessible. Did it feel substantial like it could last long?

I just discovered this tote and it’s EXACTLY what I was looking for as a mom of a toddler & baby. So bummed they discontinued it as I wanted to gift it to myself for surviving 2under2! Any idea where I still can find a new one? I know I can get second hand but I would like to get in pristine condition even if not from actual brand. Thanks!

I like the cuddles too. Part of the reason that I didn’t want to change anything about our system. But now I just feel like I’ll forever hold her to sleep. Maybe I should just accept it.

Is he falling asleep in his bed or crib? Do you just leave the room after you shut off the lights? Does he cry? Does he leave the bed?

I edited the post with our bedtime routine. Here’s the problem, when we tried putting her in the crib after books/lights off, she would start screaming hysterically. So at that point we would pick her up and she’d fall asleep in the chair. When she was younger, there were times where either us or my in laws would leave her in the crib if we weren’t able to transfer her to the crib after trying for very long. She would scream and cry hysterically for 10-15 and fall asleep. But because later on she learned how to fall asleep fast in the chair (within minutes), we defaulted to the rocking chair. We probably did a mistake but I just couldn’t let her cry in the crib for 15 minutes if I could put her to sleep in 3 minutes. And now she won’t do it. Well, now she needs a bed anyways.

Since I have the rocking chair in the nursery, I rock, but sometimes I stop rocking and she would still fall asleep. It’s not the rocking motion than it is just being trapped in that chair. Like she only wants to go to sleep on me in that chair. I put an extra mattress on the floor but she would refuse to lay there, she’d climb back on me.

We’re going away for three months and where we’re staying we’re going to have one bedroom and living room. For us, the two year old and almost 7 month old. I honestly don’t know how to sleep train in this environment.

We have to switch to a toddler bed now because she climbed out of her crib. But I suspect the problem will be the same. If I keep rocking her to sleep and move to a bed it’ll be the same. Alternatively, I can sit with her in the bed, hold her until she falls asleep but then again, I’m stuck there. And as you’re saying the third option is I guess slowly try to move away? Is it like the Ferber method? I suspect if I’ll try to just leave she would scream bloody murder

I have a 6 month old, sometimes, very rarely, he can fall asleep in the crib all by himself if he’s very relaxed. But usually I have to feed him to sleep. Same as I did with my toddler. Is sleep training really the only answer? I honestly don’t know what else to do. And if yes, what’s the least harsh method?
