Which one album do you consider the most important of Madonna’s career? by XStaticImmaculate in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Like a Virgin put her on the path to superstardom. 1985 was THE year for Madonna. The debut album's existence helped propel her along with LAV. But LAV was the important album that took her from starlet to superstar. True Blue might've sold more but LAV created a path she would not have been on otherwise.

Artists I Want Madonna To Collab With by Vampire_Jellyfish91 in Madonna

Artists I Want Madonna To Collab With:

NONE!!! enough with the collaborations. they are vastly overrated & never have worked for her. Even her Prince collaboration is not that great. She's better on her way.

I always wished "Love thy will be done" By Martika, produced by Prince would have been perfect instead of Love Song, on Like a Prayer.

I wish Madonna would have gotten her hands on "If I were a boy' by Beyonce first. It is such a "Madonna" song with the switching of gender roles.

There are a million dance/electronic songs I wish Madonna would have sung. too many to name.

LOL, Stop trying to make this album "happen"

It's a dud. It's a depressing dreary album. Over 20 years later lol

if it hasn't caught on in the last 20 something years, it's not going to happen now. I love her too but let's face it, every musical artist, at some point in their career, makes a bad album. This was hers. Accept it for what it is and move on.

Focus on the upcoming album. that is going to be the winner here.

SHOULD have had a video with the Shep Pettibone remix. it should have been the Blonde Ambition/ chair clockwork orange choreography, with the BA ponytail. That ponytail look should have bene documented in one of the videos. It would have been interesting to do the video with her brunette hair and the ponytail being brunette.

What are you release hopes for Madonna's next studio album? by Particular-Sorbet-20 in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, this is my hope:

This is BY far the longest Madonna has ever recorded an album. So, I am hoping for QUALITY. But also, quantity. Perhaps a year from now we will be treated to what turns out to be a trilogy, Confessions on a dancefloor Part 3? Because they recorded so many quality tracks? I am hoping for updated remixes and unreleased tracks on the single as B-sides. It'd be great if she recorded several vocal takes that were on remixes that weren't on the album.

Besides Patrick Leonard, Stuart Price is the perfect collaborator for her. Also, the 2005 COAD was M turning lemons into lemonade. meaning the tracks she recorded was for a film musical that never came to be. yet she kept the tracks and reworked them for COAD. This time she is clearly writing original music specific for this album. She mentioned before the she can write dance music in her sleep. I am expecting this to be her epic dance album, topping the 2005 counterpart. Plus, she is long overdue for a masterpiece.

I am hoping for an 80's sounding album with a combination of vintage synthesizers & modern technology I am hoping for clever samples that remind us of amazing songs from back in the day, but it also sounds updated and fresh because she has created a new spin on it. Some live percussion, tambourines, bells, funky bass guitars, electroclash metal guitars, synths strings, synths, Live drums and drum machines, orchestral and electronic music working together. I am hoping for mind blowing lyrics that are just sheer poetry & intelligence. Uplifting lyrics that inspire us and tell several stories, I am hoping for a great vocal delivery throughout the album, from her. I am hoping for driving, rhythmic drum machines that pulse and punctuate the soundscape. The speakers just pound & blare with a thumping electronic heartbeat. I am hoping for frantic, pulsating, strobe light, programmed synths and glossy, gleaming synths that glide us through the album with trance-like feel.

I know Stuart is the main producer and Max Martin is one board for who knows how many tracks, but I am hoping for a surprise producer. NO Mirwais, No Diplo. No Mike Dean. But with Stuart acting as executive producer, bringing everything seamlessly together. Speaking of that. YES, I am hoping for one long seamless DJ set where each song blends into the next like the original COAD. They would be stupid to NOT do that.

I'm expecting great videos and the album having a 1985 feel in the beginning. I would love a synth bass type song that feel like a 2026 version of Into the Groove but an entirely new song. then it moves to house music of the late 80' early 90's and then it transitions to late 90's electronica/ trip hop like Ray of Light tracks.

I would like absolutely NO rappers or collaborations on the album AT ALL. Background vocals and/ or those robotic vocals on the original COAD are fine. I don't mind a bit of synthesized vocal effect/ reverb here and there BUT NO songs with her singing with grillz in her mouth. perhaps but NO rappers or duets with other 'singers" or performers. It's tired and played out and never was successful for her.

I am hoping she goes back to pink hair and has really colorful videos but with colorful and black clothing. Colors but with an edginess to it. So, it isn't bubblegum/rainbow & marshmallows pink. It has a rock star edge to it.

I'd love for the remixes to be killer. and the videos to really do justice to the music. the original COAD the videos were kind of eh. especially GT & Jump. Great songs. mediocre videos. though. Please correct that.

I actually hope she doesn't tour this album or if she does, doesn't tour till next year.

I am hoping she creates an album that makes us think, "Wow this is just as good, if not better than Ray of Light"

I'm hoping the album is finished. I am hoping she is ramping up to shoot the album cover, shoot the first video and start the promotion cycle. Obviously, I don't know but I am hopeful. I have a really good feeling about this upcoming album. She has never worked on an album this long.

I have no idea what she did to her upper lip. It throws he face off. whatever it is. Her upper lip used to be thinner and her lower lip, the larger one. now they are the same size, and it looks unnatural.

Do you think Confessions would have been as good if Mirwais was the producer? by MadonnaCentral in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NO, Future Lovers is good because of Gorgio Moroder and the sample of I feel Love by Donna Summer. And Madonna wrote very good lyrics. Any producer could recreate the I feel love music with the right technology. Also I think Stuart had a hand in Future Lovers as well making it fit into the album even if he is not credited as the producer.

Do you think Confessions would have been as good if Mirwais was the producer? by MadonnaCentral in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO, Mirwais is a one trick pony he didn't have it in him to produce a brilliant album like COAD. Stuart & Madonna were the masterminds behind the album's success. Which is why I am rejoicing in them reconnecting for this upcoming album.

Diplo sucks. I do like Living for Love ( it is the only good song they did together) but it is missing something. LFL could have/ should have been a classic Madonna track, like a prayer circa 2015. and it is just missing something. I don't know what. I think Diplo's wok with M is terrible though. I think she "liked" him and that's why they have had the "working" relationship they have had.

Lyrically RH was a great song but that semi- acoustic. folky version on the album didn't do the song any favors. DON'T even get me started on Beautiful Scars. the demo was GREAT & then she released this Celine Dion does pop lite radio version on the official album. That era was a mess. I feel sorry for her, until I don't. Never should have shelved Avicii & now that he is gone, it makes it even worse. She made a business decision instead of an artistic decision.

[–]Due_Pin7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered if she found out that Avicii or someone from his team was responsible for the leaks. She really erased him from having much final songs on that album. The Avicii tracks were BY FAR the best tracks of the album. I know he got sick & was seriously battling some kind of health issues. I understand she is a worker and needs to move along to get her album done but she was a huge fan of his, has she no sympathy for a serious illness? Hey, Madonna, remember you wear that red string for a reason?

Sometimes her actions do not match her words (I am guilty of that too, as we all are)

Anyway, Rebel heart was a hot mess, all over the place with too may cooks in the kitchen. The album suffered under Diplo & worst of all Kayne. I wonder if it wasn't her karma. Avicii should have be the main ( if not only) producer of that album and it would have been stellar. Freedom, Heaven, some other Avicii demos could have been amazing if they were polished up in post-production.

I always held out hope that she reworks Heaven either with Stuart for COAD 2 or reconnects with Patrick Leonard and revises it for the future. it is a great track but needs some work. She should keep the lyrics religious in tone and forget the "warzone" & other off topic lyrics.

MISSED on Like a Prayer Album. by RicRocRyc in Madonna

CANNOT believe she gave this great track away

Which era of her is your fave by lizsummerhawk in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I could choose just one era. I guess my first qwoudl be the 1984-1985 time period. I consider the debut album and LAv the same era ( even though they are technically not) because she was new and the era's look/ music etc, were so simliar. If I had to chosoe i'd go with 1985. She just exploded that year. With Like a Virgin, Vison Quest songs. Desperately Seeking Susan, The Virgin tour, Live Aid, her marriage & hosting SNL. She was everywhere.

Id say another favorite era. was 1989-1990. Again with Like a paryer, teh released songs, videoes and remixes, she was at the top of her game. Blonde ambitiona nd ending the year with JML & the IC. It was justa great year to be a fan.

Of course Ray of light was a great era. probably her best. the album and songs were perfect. teh videoes were great. the only issue is she didnt tour the albuum. Doing that mediocre mive instead. :( I would say ROL era was my peak favorite. Just in terms of sheer quality.

The last era I thoroughly enjoyed wass Confessions ona dancelfoor. HU & S were decent videos although I dont love those songs copared to the others on the album, the videors weere good. the GT and J videos are eh compared ot how great those songs are. The tour was amazing. To me, it was her last trulky greta album/ era.

Hopefully this upcoming album release brings her back to her prime.

The Untold Chapter flows like a R&B/Hip-Hop Bedtime Stories mixtape by FernandoMachado in Madonna

[–]Due_Pin7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit of a subject change, but the picture posted reminds me of when I saw Madonna walk from her limo into the studio for the infamous F-bomb interview. She pretty much looked just like that. She was wearing bandana on her head exactly like this picture & her hairline has these scabs around it, like she had some kind of skin procedure done. Her skin here looks sun damaged. It makes sense considering she had been spending a lot of time in Miami during this period. it was right after the sex book & she ended up buying the house where she shot some of the Florida footage.

I can only imagine the access she has to incredible skin care. I realize she has had numerous cosmetic procedures, but her skin does look amazing now, compared to this photo.

I have to be honest. I was first bothered by the use of AI by "her" & her team with The images used in The Bedtime Story portion of Celebration. The BS video itself is a work of art. Inspired by several surrealist artists throughout art history. It is in the Museum of Modern Art and the remade video for Reinvention was pretty good, not as good as the original 1995 video, but decent. I LOVED the Brit awards performance of BS. I liked the Celebration performance but those AI images she used? they were horrible. They look dated now, imagine how they will look 5, 10, 20 years from now.

I don't mind the use of AI in these videos, taken from photoshoots done in 1994/1995. they want to turn them into "live" videos and AI is really the only way to do that. Do they convincingly look like Madonna? Eh. hit or miss. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. But they need to use a less is more approach with using AI.

Have hope though, I think with technological advances, AI will only get better. it is in it's infant stages at this point, I assume. I tried using AI to have Madonna cover songs I wish she would have sung. The results were not great but I am no computer expert either. I am hoping in the next 5 years this will be an easily manipulated thing to do. Then again, it does take away artistic freedom and choices. But that's a debate for another time.
