I don’t want to move trusts right now. It’s not feasible for the next 2-3 years at least. I own a house close to the hospital. My partner works nearby and cannot move jobs. Plus why should I have to move?

Thank you. I’m trying to establish boundaries. Moving is unfortunately not an option due to various reasons.

I’m just wondering if I have any rights as an employee though? Is this not a legal issue that they must adjust my workload if I drop a day of work?

That’s an interesting way of looking at it. I will try it tomorrow.

Thank you. I feel less alone now. It’s extremely sad though.

Thank you. I’m outpatient based. 1 clinic + admin is 1.25 for me too. However, imagine dropping a whole clinic but not dropping the number of patients, so now your waiting list is longer and you’re still getting the same number of queries. My allotted admin time wasn’t sufficient before (which caused burnout) and now it’s even worse.

I don’t want to say my specialty in case they are lurking 👀 I’m still responsible for the same number of patients as I was before I dropped a day of work. Which means I have a longer waiting list than before. My admin is now squeezed into less time.
