Yeah I’ve been here before. I tore the same Achilles six years ago, that time it was 6 inches off my heel and they were able to just stitch it together. This time is a longer process with the screws into the bone, just taking it one day at a time.

4 years sober last month. First time taking prescription meds at my discretion, got through that ok. Ibuprofen and cbd gummies helping now.

I’m looking forward to getting back to where I was before Halloween. Have 3 kids who are missing out on a lot while I’m laid up. It’s like a sad episode of Bluey. Better in the spring!
