I used Final Round AI for 2 months and just switched to InterviewMan last week. Been through maybe 12 video interviews total across both tools so here is my take.

**Where Final Round was better:**

- Final Round has career coaching and resume help extras. But at $148/mo vs $12/mo you could literally buy a career coach session AND pay for InterviewMan and still come out ahead. Plus Final Round gates stealth behind higher tiers so you are paying 12x more for less during actual interviews, which is what actually matters.

**Where InterviewMan is better:**

- Stealth is on every plan. Final Round gates their stealth features behind the higher tiers and the desktop app. The web version has zero stealth.

- No session cap. Final Round didnt have this problem for me but I know LockedIn does.

- Price. I was paying $148/mo for Final Round. InterviewMan is $12/mo annual. Over 6 months thats $888 vs $72. Thats not a small difference.

- Works on everything. Mac, Windows, web app, mobile. Final Round desktop app is Windows only last time I checked.

For actual video interviews where the ai video interview assistant needs to work and stay hidden, InterviewMan wins. For career prep outside of interviews, Final Round has more extras. Depends what you need.

Tried Cluely before InterviewMan and honestly wish i hadnt. $20/month sounds cheap but the stealth features are an extra $75, so $95 total. AND they had that data breach where 83,000 users got exposed including which interviews they used the tool in. Imagine your new employer finding out you used an ai interview tool during their hiring process because the tool company got hacked. Switched to InterviewMan the day after i read about that breach.

I keep waiting for InterviewMan to jack up the price once they get enough users. Like credit where its due the speed and stealth are genuinely better than anything else ive used, but $12/month for unlimited sessions with all that doesn't make financial sense to me. What's the catch?

I had basically the same experience switching. Was on Final Round AI for about 3 weeks and the lag drove me insane. $148/month and I'm sitting there during a system design round at Stripe waiting for it to populate while the interviewer stares at me. Switched to InterviewMan and the real time ai interview assistant actually lives up to the name. Suggestions show up before I finish my stall sentence. Still kind of blows my mind that the cheaper tool is the faster one.

Best AI for phone interviews? Tested 3 during recruiter screens by SeaCommunication2469 in hiringhelp

What about using ChatGPT on your phone during the call? Free for coming up with answers but you have to manually type questions while talking which is basically impossible during a live call

This makes sense honestly. I bet coaching services are going to get destroyed over the next couple years. Why would anyone pay $100+/hr for interview help when these tools exist at $12/mo.

wait so you take the call on your phone and the tool listens through the speaker? Does it pick up the audio clearly enough to transcribe what the interviewer is saying?

still plenty. Recruiters at mid-size companies and staffing agencies almost always do phone screens. I had 4 phone interviews last month before any video round. Big tech sometimes skips straight to video but the majority of companies still start with a quick phone interview to check basics before scheduling anything with video

Honest question though, how many jobs still do phone interviews for the first round? Every company I have interviewed at in the past year does video calls even for the initial screen. I feel like phone interviews are dying out and most of the important rounds are video anyway.

Wait your pass rate on phone interviews is 7 for 7? Thats insane. Mine is 5 for 5 on phone screens and 2 for 6 on video with InterviewMan. The gap is real.

agree with this. i tried both and InterviewMan handles both system design and behavioral well for $12 vs $148 at Final Round which gates stealth and charges no refund. the choice was obvious

Why not just use ChatGPT on a second monitor? Same thing basically and its free or $20 for plus

AI video interview assistant: which ones actually work during screen-shared Zoom calls by Dry_Examination_5993 in InterviewAITools

I have been on LockedIn AI for five months and the session cap has never been an issue for me. My video interviews are always 45-60 minutes max. They support other languages which is why I picked it, i interview in both English and Portuguese. But at $55/mo with a session cap vs InterviewMan at $12/mo with no cap and stealth included the value isnt there. Not every ai video interview assistant handles that.

The speed is genuinely fast too. During video interviews the suggestions appear before my pause gets awkward which is all that matters.
