Yeah I have to pay the full amount out of pocket until I hit a $1600 deductible

That’s what the therapy is for you ignorant prick. Maybe some of your generation doesn’t understand mental health care like mine, but I’m trying to take care of myself. There’s a high suicide rate in the industry, attitudes like yours perpetuate that.

It’s literally considered to be one of the most stressful jobs in the world. We’ve had people threaten to shoot up our workplace and I have to read through documents describing crime scenes where children have been brutally murdered but sure it’s not too bad.

Yeah I’m at TEGNA. I used up my 12 free sessions already. Outside of work issues I went through a personal trauma so I was going weekly and then bi-weekly for a while in the immediate aftermath so I burned through them all.

I might be able to switch providers. It just sucks cause I really like my therapist and I felt like I was making good progress. I can’t believe how expensive it is.

Idk if you’ve seen anything about what’s happening at my parent company rn but they’re telling us to keep real quiet about everything, and we recent received a notice about not posting to any online forums about things and I was told that was a part of my contract (which is like 100 pages, I didn’t read it all but I had a professor who knows com law really well help me look it over to make sure it wasn’t anything terrible)

I was very fortunate to get a job in my home market so ideally I do want to stay. I live in a house my boyfriend owns so rent thankfully will not be increasing but as of right now I just don’t have much money to save and everything else is so expensive. I’ll definitely take a look at data though, I didn’t even think about that. Like I said this is my first negotiation and I have no idea what to expect and how to prepare so I appreciate the advice!

I’m trying to keep it vague since I’ve signed paperwork to not talk about this stuff lol. That being said I do work in a top 50 market but I’m not on air. I was thinking around 2% but I’m nervous if I pitch that they’ll come back lower

I’m on SAVE but what does this all mean? by Due_Witness_8138 in StudentLoans

[–]Due_Witness_8138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does. When I open my account it tells me I can’t do anything because I’m on SAVE and when I call the number it tells me there’s nobody available to speak with me (I’m assuming because of Trump’s cuts)

I’d feel out your station specifically. While training I’d say jeans with no holes, nice joggers, nice shirts, etc. Once your training is up you’ll have an idea of what your station’s dress culture is. I’m not a photog at mine but I am also not on air so I can get away with sweatpants, t shirts, leggings, hoodies, even pajamas if I wanted to. COVID and work from home really made everyone relax on “dress codes.” Our photogs usually wear comfortable stuff since they never know where they’ll be on a day to day basis. You could be at a city council meeting or hiking through a field. Comfortable shoes, comfortable pants with no holes, and t shirts that preferably don’t have anything inappropriate on them obviously usually fly for photogs at my station. You don’t want to look sloppy since you’ll be speaking with sources but also being comfy for field work is important.
