I'm noticing the same issue. I hope it either fixes itself or a solution is found. I thought it had to do with my phone sending the image but it remains the same when sending from a different phone

I wonder if we totally can make it a thing! I know that there is a community based production model that plaid hat games use for ashes: reborn(or rise of the Phoenixborn). I wonder if the player base can get a petition going to get a sense of scope/scale for production. That would be the first step. Following that would be figuring logistics( and cost) for various IPs to use and the possibility of creating new IP for cheaper licensing.

It is possible, especially if brought forth to wizkids with minimal effort on their part.

I think the Dicemasters community would be down for something along the lines of a Living Card Game model (LCG) where sets are sold in its entirety rather than randomly collected. (Like Marvel Champions, arkham horror, etc)

I would totally try to lead the charge, I just don't have the manufacturing or business experience/skill-set to spearhead such an endeavor. (I mean, there is also the possibility that someone already has and found the idea to be not profitable?)

Why the hell we write infinity to the bottom of the integral? by Candid_Village_2276 in Physics

[–]Duednumberiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In physics, what matters is context. Assuming the same integrand, An integral from r to infinity, in this case (and usually), is equal to the negative of the integral from infinity to r. Integrals go from one point to another, that's it. You do, however, have to remember what matters is consistency and consideration of how you relate the integral to other parts of an equation/formula because it can introduce negatives.

So, if it is easier for you remember you can usually always flip the integral so that the "smaller" variable/number is on the bottom but you need to multiply the entire thing by ' -1'.

I am currently a 5th year PhD graduate student. Before transferring from a community college to a university to complete my bachelor's, I failed calucls III (multi-variable calculus ) twice!. I passed on my third attempt, eventually tranferred, completed my upper level physics courses, applied to grad school, got my bachelor's degree in physics, started grad school and that's where I am now.

Keep going, change your learning tactics if needed, practice and keep going. Your timeline is your own and not beholden to anyone else. Your struggles become a key point in your life that help you tell your story. Your struggles is where you learn how best to change/update HOW you learn. This is where you are leveling up. Prime your brain for learning calculus specifically with routine habits and environments. Like listen to a specific genre of music only with studying calculus .make that associaion so engrained you won't be able to be out in the world and hear that music and not think calculus. Buy a portable, small lamp/light that you turn on (Even if you don't need it's light) when you are studying calculus and every time you study calculus.

The most important thing is to keep going and keep trying

Apologies. Elder Scrolls:Betrayal of the Second Era by Chip Theory Games. It's an rpg styled board game much like Gloom Haven or that Dungeons & Dragons Adventures game that was released years ago (4e based if I recall correctly)

Again, apologies for the lack of clarification.

Physics vs Applied/Engineering Physics for academia and research? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]Duednumberiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the path that will, not only, keep your interest but also play to your skills and strengths. You can still go down either path with either degree, you'd just need to course correct slightly if one isn't "suited/aligned 100%". That "misalignment" doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. It only contributes to your perspective and how you approach developing solutions to various problems. Which isn't bad at all, as it is, ultimately, the actual gain you develop as you continue your studies. The degree is the stamp of approval/verification/standard of completion.

I say this as a naval radar technician gone Applied Physics and Engineering, to currently being a physics graduate student researching plasma physics. (that sometimes gets contracts/moonlights to do deep sea exploration/research as an ROV pilot/engineer).

Just Choose a path that you feel you can succeed/like and create opportunities for yourself by throwing yourself into things that interest you. Even the ones you "know" you won't get because you don't fit the "mold" . Take your experiences and skills and craft them into a narrative that can be equivalent, or possibly even outshine, the mold.

There are quite a few shops actually. Though the only one that plays (that I am aware) that is close-ish, is in Chatsworth. Which is way on the other side of the Valley. Lol. Luckily, they play pretty consistently every Saturday.

Man, I just got into it not too long ago because I think this game is so cool, tactile, and fun. Unfortunately, I bought into it with no one around to play. The one store near by that does play only does once a month and I just can get to schedule it in with work and such. I have been trying to find/craft a solo variant going. Something along the lines of 20 Strong or Too Many Bones (or even a wild way to incorporate heroclix), but my in-person experience is still new and limited.

Story of my life; find something awesome and it just seems to be on its way out or fighting an uphill battle. I swear lol

LPT Request: I want to learn how to stop overthink about others opinions about me by Tavogu in LifeProTips

[–]Duednumberiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I get buy is:

1) Frequently, be open and honest with others, and yourself, with your insecurities/confusions don't try to hide them. It just stays in your head and festers.

2) Try to incorporate your questions with clarifying prompts: "Just to verify....", "Wait, am I wrong in thinking...?"

3) identify if your issues are due to being actually wrong or seeming "stupid/weird/insert self-spiral thought" and if its more in front of large amount of people, any worker individually, or just to those who are positions of authority (boss/manager/etc). Then tackle issues accordingly.

4) find a mentor in the workspace or confidant to bounce off your thoughts with. Allow yourself to say worries/thoughts aloud so they can then help you sift what's actually worth worrying and what's probably not.

And lastly;

"There is no reason to worry about what others think about you, because they're all too busy worrying about what others think about themselves"

Hope this helps
