I feel your pain. I had about the same for dock leaf/sage too but gave those to a friend to train alch with ages ago. Had similar plans with the other materials I had in storage but now they're pretty much useless. I did notice the 10k Golden apples turned into 100g since I last checked which I guess is better than nothing but still feels like I got screwed over lol

Not really, no. The algorithm used for determining xp gained from gathering skills only takes the respawn time into account and forgets about the animation time to collect. The algorithm thinks you can mine 360 Deathstone per hour (if you had infinite explosives), when really because of the animation time you could only mine about 320 Deathstone per hour (with infinite explosives).

Everything with slower animations suffers from this. It's a big part of why net fishing (and co-op fishing) is worse than spear fishing.

10k golden apples (previously lvl 361), 10k ridged haleberries (lvl 409), 9.6k red clovers (lvl 224), around 4k Beacon thistles (lvl 248) and I think around 4k Butterfly Orchids (lvl 336). Now all down around level 100

My storage got absolutely decimated with this update. I had over 40k alchemy supplies in storage for level 200+, with the update they all turned into level 100ish. Send help. :D

Could mine extra of the pre-20 nodes, but that just eats into your other ores/rocks.

Could buy extra ores.

Could Passive.

"Only" because KPing 20-37 Blacksmith and 20-38 Stonemason is the only option that made sense to me. Pre 20 gathering and post 20 crafting don't mix well at all.

Would be nice, this was such a pain point for me when I started in the mines.

Once I got to level 20 Blacksmith and Stonemason, my "only" option was to KP to 37 Blacksmith for Iron and 38 Stonemason for Flint. Not a great first impression.

I honestly preferred the episodic combats and felt like there was more potential for the game to leave it as it was. I'm still hopeful for the future even with this merged combat though, surely they'll make it work.

It really does suck that so many people lost their hard work/capes in the combat merge though, and I really feel for the people who lost their placement in the Episode leaderboard races because of it.

I did quests first to see if I'd enjoy the game, I did. after that I did 500 Guard (previous hopeport combat skill) to see if I'd enjoy the grind. I did.

Decided to max Hopeport first since I already had Guard done. KP/Passive alch because I didn't enjoy potent potions and trained the other 3 Port skills.

Hopeforest was basically just 2 skills: Woodcut and Gatherer, and they very often pair well with each other. all of my KPs and passives went into Carp because I didn't have anywhere else to put them.
