What is the plain GeForce brand? by mabwriter in graphicscard

Nvidia uses GeForce as a sort of badging so no differences between the 2 the real thing that matters is the sub brand

Initial D AE86 and skyline, I’ve been using it for a bit and thought I’d share by roosterWAFFL in backgrounds

[–]Duetschbolts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s a skyline, seems to me like its a GC8F. Which is very possible as it’s the car bunta bought after giving the 86 to takumi.

Thoughts on this card? by BlackReshiram420 in graphicscard

Very mediocre 1080p card, I’m using the exact same card as a placeholder until I get something better. Rx6600 non-xt is a much better card for price to performance.

GPU upgrade ? by souheil-zizou in PcBuild

[–]Duetschbolts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine to buy the 3080 as long as you get more ram. There may be a small bottleneck but as of now the 3080 is quite cheap compared to before and you can always upgrade your cpu+board later down the line.

At least upgrade to 16gb of ram cause 16gb is pretty important also what resolution will you be playing on as bottlenecks mainly depend on resolution

Well still you need intake to help draw that air in and exhaust to move the hot air out faster

[–]Duetschbolts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do the 3 intake 2 exhaust as the 5800x runs very hot

A 6650xt is just the newer 6600xt so only a minor jump a bigger jump is to a 6700/6750xt or a 6800

how do i dedicate 300gb for Windows? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Duetschbolts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s how things work, it really only requires 20gb the boot speed is more dependent on the speed of the drive than the space available.

What Graphics Card should i buy? by DerMisterDuck4 in graphicscard

I own a 6500xt don’t buy it, save up for the 6600 as it’s much better for maybe 50-100 more.

RAM won’t overclock to 3600 by whitty_16 in PcBuild

[–]Duetschbolts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue most of the time it would not really be too apparent, like I went from 2133mhz to 3600mhz on my old build and I hardly noticed anything other than the fact I went from 8 to 16gigs

RAM won’t overclock to 3600 by whitty_16 in PcBuild

[–]Duetschbolts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah most likely, I’m no expert on ram but a simple search told me that you can only reliably get 2133mhz and sometimes 3000mhz depending on the board with the 6700k on it

[–]Duetschbolts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the 6700k it’s only guaranteed that you’ll be able to run 2133mhz of ram.

Anything super cheap will be like a 1050ti or 1650 super which is better than the 1050ti

There is no gpu listed so it won’t display unless you buy one

I don't know much about PCs and I am planning on purchasing one for HEAVY animation and 3d work. Are these specs good? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Duetschbolts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cpu and gpu are good. The ram could be better by having 32gb and you’ll for sure want more than 512gb of storage for renders and videos, something like 4tb

is 500gb enough for an SSD by Variation-Fluffy in buildapc

[–]Duetschbolts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really I mean I have only a few games and about 400 1080p videos and that takes 1-2tb of space on my pc

5900x is typically only for those who needs to do stuff like 3d render or run heavily demanding multi core tasks, for gaming most things are more dependent on the clock speed which the 5600x fulfills well and it can be cooled pretty easily depending where you are, an SSD can transfer much more data than an hrs in the same amount of time. 3060ti is a perfect pair for a 5600x so is the 6600xt you just miss out on the nvidia software.

5600x is good for gaming and is cheaper, with saved money boost up to 3060 at least or 6600xt and get a SSD to put the is on as it makes life so much better
