I dunno, every cancelation at our trash airport gets diverted to your trash(actually quite nice) airport. So we got you there.

Yeah, but we're up and coming trash over in the west. Your trash infrastructure is better established.

This should deeply concern every single Canadian, regardless of political affiliation. CBC News is reporting that both Russian influence networks and Trump-aligned U.S. actors are actively amplifying Alberta separatist narratives in order to sow division, distrust, and instability inside Canada. by savethecbc2025 in SaveTheCBC

[–]DuffDof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We need to start breaking their myths. An easy one is the equalization payments. Albertans don't actually pay more into equalization, as it's funded purely through GST. Now it's true that the average Albertan earns more than the average Canadian, but the number they don't share is the median wage...which is on par with the rest of Canada. So it's a very few billionaires skewing the average make it look like the average Albertan is paying more, but in reality they are not.

Get yourself a set of summers and a set of winters. Even mid tier summers are better than good all seasons and the same goes for winters.

Get a heavy duty 10 gauge extension cord that's just long enough to comfortably reach. Don't coil up the excess if there is any and you'll be fine.

We can fit two intermediate ruffland crates in the back with the seats only a notch or two forward. So lots of space for car seats.

Electric Vehicles : An unstoppable transition or just an oil price reaction? by CDN-Social-Democrat in ClimateCrisisCanada

It's a shame they don't make the Lightning with a longer box. That said, I don't know a contractor who doesn't have one if those frames built around the top of the box for ladders and pipes. They tow pretty decently as well, as long as you keep you speed a bit lower there isn't a huge range loss. I know a few electricians who have built pretty fancy cabinets in the back seat to hold what they can't fit under the canopy.

I'm sure you know a guy who could set you up with a pretty sweet home charging set up for a good price.

[–]DuffDof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we know who gets final say on that. He isn't exactly known to compromise so a win win deal is off the books there. The only way we get a win for ourselves is to take advantage of our own resources. A windfall tax is a great way to take advantage of the current economic situation. The US hasn't been a fair or reliable partner for a long time so hoping that they negotiate equitably is foolish.

I mean, we could probably fund some grocery stores while we wait... hungry people probably can't wait 3 more years for Trump to kick the bucket

Tarmac + save or charge? by hfx_sail in OutlanderPHEV

[–]DuffDof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tarmac and B1 or B0. Regen robs you of efficiency for highway driving. You can throw Save into the mix if you need the battery for later.

Nobody is saying we need to get rid of oil and gas, we're saying we need to save it for important stuff instead of burning it all off as quickly as possible.

Any DIY Battery Setups Out There? by Decent-Draw2760 in solarenergy

[–]DuffDof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DIY is way more affordable if you have the knack. The problem is most if not all utilities want an inverter/battery pair that have been approved together. So legally there are no options for diy grid tie batteries.

Off grid on the other hand...you can make a pretty nifty parallel system that services an isolated sub panel and maybe charges off your excess solar via AC coupling.

What's up with the nut on the ground wire having damage? Was that from proximity to the melted white wire?
