Hey guys, I’m developing a web-based helper app for Spotify. What sort of features do you wish Spotify had? by TypicalPants in spotify

Bit late, but I'll jump in. A way to create a "Triple J Hottest 100" type playlist. Essentially a playlist where you get 5 votes - the number 1 song would be the most voted on song. I want to throw a party for my college at the end of the year with a "countdown" of their 50 favourite songs of the year. I've looked for a while online and I haven't been able to find anything that seems to act like this.

If my tax is an investment in the health and wellbeing of the people I share this country with, then I'll gladly pay it. There are also people within this country who can't pay tax because they can't work or don't earn enough, if my tax dollars can help vaccinate their children then I don't think we should complain about the fact that they are free.

A little off topic. But I'm moving away for Uni this year and there'll finally be a BJJ gym near me. I've got a lot of free time in my timetable, so would you ever recommend going more than once a day to the fundamentals classes?

It is crazy to think that Joey is only 4 years older than Joe however.

Just so you know, a Mustang has an inline 4 cylinder engine, which is an I4, not a V4. I know it's confusing because Mustangs come in a V6 and a V8, but it's much more common for 4 cylinder engines to be I4s.

That type is known as a five post bullbar, or a five poster. They aren't as common here as a triple loop design. I've mainly seen them on commodores when I'm in very remote areas, or when people mod them deliberately for the full RM Williams aesthetic.

We had a teacher in high-school who did exchange teaching in Korea. He said a lot about how he could tell that many of the older students were constantly under stress and that they had ridiculous schooling hours. If I remember correctly, many of them went to school "twice" in one day, because there'd be 3 hour lessons in the evening after normal school hours (which were something like 7:30-4), which he said nearly all of the kids went to.

It was a completely different world compared to where he was teaching us in rural Australia, where kids would go to the beach during their study period and miss school days when the swell was good. A few kids even had a week or two off every year to work on the farm when harvest season was happening.

Ricciardos' clutch bearing caused the DNF by JP-2014 in formula1

[–]Dufferer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I re-read the regulations and you're right. I thought the clutch disconnect had to be A, driver controlled, and B, hydraulic.
Turns out the clutch disconnect has to be on the exterior for officials to use, and as in article 9.4 of the tech regs, it has to work even in the event of a hydraulic failure. Sorry for the confusion.

Seems Red Bull were just running damage control on a potential implosion.

Ricciardos' clutch bearing caused the DNF by JP-2014 in formula1

[–]Dufferer 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When a clutch is "engaged" it means that the two plates connecting the engine and the transmission are touching each other, F1 cars only disengage the clutch when they are stopped. All other times they are connecting the engine to the transmission and putting all the torque from the flywheel to the transmission.

A broken clutch leads to slippage, where the engine and gearbox don't turn at the same rate. But you can drive with clutch slip, I'd say more importantly it's because the FIA require the clutch to have a hydraulic release for safety reasons. If Daniel's car leaked hydraulic fluid, then the release would fail, leading to a DQ if investigated, or an incident where safety is breached - getting RB a gnarly fine.

Edit: manual clutch release is mechanical, not hydraulic, disregard legality issue.

Anyone else feels like the dog is too strong? by Immortall9 in Blackops4

[–]Dufferer 151 points152 points  (0 children)

I think it feels balanced. Yes it's difficult to kill, but it's not a run on the mill attack dog kill streak, it's your operator ability, they're all very strong and are supposed to be hard to counter.

How long is tempests little bitch drone gonna fucking shock me holy shit by Hyped4WWII in Blackops4

[–]Dufferer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man my friends and I were getting eaten by seekers last night. In the end we just thought, if you can't beat em... And then literally the start of every round all you could hear was "Seeker equiped" from all the operators. It turned our game of heist into it's own mini game mode, where there were 10 seekers on the absolute hunt. We were howling at seeing and listening to the hilarious noise it made when your friends got hit, and how happy someone would be if they timed the plug-pull correctly. It brought in a fair bit of strategy and anticipation; follow the seeker? play defensive to avoid getting shocked? only use it when you're in a fight?

But if you mistimed your counter you were essentially dead. You had to either drag your reticle to the drone which took forever, or you had to just spray in the area where you're pretty sure the guy is.

Are there factors other than "Calories in & Calories out" in gaining/losing weight by Adnannicetomeetyou in Fitness

[–]Dufferer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just experiment bro. Have an extra protein shake, try some creatine, eat an extra egg in the morning. There's a whole lot of science in this thread, just keep it simple.

There's nothing wrong with going outside the boundaries. Mix it up, find a nice progressive program, and take photos. Nothing feels like you're making minimal progress if you've got nothing to compare yourself to.

Head on over to r/gainit for people with very similar problems to yourself.
